(1,002 reviews) This hotel was well located in the city but a street or two back from the main area meaning it wasn’t too busy or loud. That said, it was still very easy to walk around the city and get to public transport options. The staff were friendly and helpful finding me things to do and translating different options for me. My room was pretty big compared to what I’ve had previously on my trip but was also comfortable and clean. The history of the house was also a main point for me. It was nice to walk around and look at original photos/paintings and see historic documents was pretty cool. (165 reviews) We had a brilliant stay at Numa Hotel Hallen in Oslo. The location couldn’t be better - right in the heart of the city and housed in the former central Post Office, which makes the building itself a beautiful piece of history. One of the highlights is the old Postal Hall downstairs, now transformed into a lively series of bars and a fantastic pizza restaurant. It’s a great spot for all ages and adds a unique atmosphere to the hotel. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Oslo’s main attractions and shopping areas, so exploring the city was easy. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well laid out. Having a fridge and washing machine made a huge difference for convenience during our stay. The only minor drawback was the TV streaming service, which was a bit hit-and-miss. That said, we only used it briefly to catch the headlines while enjoying a coffee, so it didn’t affect our overall experience. (334 reviews) The grounds and the setting are extremely well thought out and welcoming. I knew to expect issues, as when I called to confirm our massages, I was advised they were never booked into the system and there was no appointments left that day. No apologies - that's just the way things are. We arrived early and were told we needed to wait until 3pm to checkin- no issues - but it was obvious we were seniors. We were then told, our room was on the 3rd floor and we needed to walk and carry our luggage there. Why - there were vacant rooms on the other side of the hotel where the elevator was working. I found the check-in person would not reason with me - ie your room is over there. It's too bad, this person was on the front desk and left this impression.
