There are some minor things that could be fixed/updated and it would be perfect. The kitchen was stocked very well with all the gadgets we needed to be able to make meals. On the positive side, the location was fantastic, providing easy access to local attractions and amenities. The house itself was spacious and comfortably accommodated our group, and the owner was very responsive to our calls, which we greatly appreciated. However, for the premium price we paid, we did encounter several issues that were disappointing. The home was more worn down than we expected, with numerous holes in the drywall, a large hole in the shower pan, a cracked toilet seat in one bathroom, and a broken flush lever in another toilet. These maintenance issues detracted from our overall experience and should be addressed, especially considering the cost. Another point to mention is that one of the king bedrooms is actually a walk-through to another bedroom. This was something we were not informed of beforehand and would have been useful to know in advance. In summary, while the house was nice overall and had great potential, we felt that the upkeep did not match the premium pricing. With some improvements, this property could provide an excellent experience for future guests. ##### Tim S. Robin was prompt in her responses even though she was herself heading out on vacation. We appreciated her going above and beyond to help us store our pontoon while we were there and Kevin allowing us a few extra hours to get the boat gone when we had car trouble and had to fetch a different vehicle to tow it the boat home. The listing is a tad misleading, one bedroom was described as having a double, a set of bunks, and a single. The actual room had a double and a set of bunks. We were offered a roll away immediately, but in all honesty, there was no room in that bedroom or any other to place the roll away. The thing that concerned me the most was the inconsistent cleaning. The bathrooms were spotless. The kitchen was a mess. Throughout our week, we found stashes of fruit loops in some unique places. The washing machine had been identified as having an issue in reviews we read before arriving so upon arrival we ran it with a cleaning tab. Clothes continued to come out dirtier than when we loaded them and so my grown sons took the agitator apart, cleaned it of its solid black masses of goo and put it back together again. It worked perfectly after that. The living room and family room furniture is well loved. The private back grilling and hot tub area was amazing. Everyone in our party was very pleased with the accommodations. Plenty of room and amenities. The 4 year old wanted to stay on vacation! FYI - the dryer did not dry very well (required 3 cycles to get things dry).Suggestion: It would be beneficial if the description clarified that one bedroom is a pass through bedroom. The ladies downstairs were really cold at night. It was clean except the carpets were gross. Very dirty looking. The biggest negative for us were the stairs.
