The rundown condition of the resort leaves a lot to be desired. It shows the lack of investment by the owners over many years. Full credit to the local staff for making the stay comfortable despite the rundown condition. We didn’t actually stay here as it was overbooked! We only found this out when we arrived, even though they had made a reservation elsewhere some days beforehand. There was no one from reception to discuss it with us. A poor lady from security had been left to carry the can of discussing the issue. I believe a number of other people had been left in a similar predicament. The alternative accommodation was significantly cheaper and there was no explanation of how to reclaim the difference between the two. On contacting hotels.com they swiftly resolved this, but feel that Divi’s handling of their overbooking error was poor. It is a great location on the edge of Holetown, so you can get to all the bars & restaurants. However, I’d be very reluctant to consider staying there again given the overbooking debate. The property is a little run down and there's no amenities - it's more a self-service apartment than hotel, which is great if that's what you're looking for. Great basic accommodation in close walking distance to beachfront bars and some restaurants/cafes. We’ve been loyal customers of yours for over 10 years now, spending thousands with you and your partner organisations. We regularly recommend you to our family, friends and colleagues as we regularly receive exceptional service. However, surprisingly for us, our experience at Divi Heritage did not live up to previous experiences of holidaying with you. Given the images and write up in the advert we were seriously let down by the accommodation. Had we known the condition of the room we would never have booked this hotel and would not recommend anyone to stay there. Sadly, there were no towels in the room - I had to ask for them \*and\* when we returned after our evening out they had not been delivered. We had none. Cupboard doors were missing. Then fridge was damaged and rusting. The bathrm taps fell away from the wall when turned on. The hot tub was dirty, tap didn’t work. There were large gaps all around the doors and windows allowing mosquitos in and the shutters were not closeable - we had to put bedsheets up at the doors and windows to try to help and keep the air con on coldest setting. There was only 1 tiny lumpy pillow each and no additional blankets. Handles were missing on cupboards. Lamp shade missing and light bulbs blown. Safe battery so low it didn’t work. Property very run down, showers and bathtubs filthy, rusty, cracked toilet seats, doors that don't close, two thin little pillows on a king bed, stained upholstery, filthy kitchen without the majority of the things that were meant to be there according to the list of items posted on the fridge.....you get the picture. Great location but more like a hostel than a hotel. It's within walking distance to supermarket ,stores for duty free shopping, medical center ,police station and post office. Staff is very pleasant, room was cleaned every day and their is very visible security on the property. Firstly there is no swimming pool at the resort as advertised on their images . The hotel next door offers facilities for Divi Resirt guests to use for a daily fee. The suite that i stayed in was in a state of disrepair, dirty and worn with shabby furniture .The kitchen area was sticky and splattered with previous guests cooking mess, there is hardly any cooking or kitchen utensils available. The owners dobt even supply a dishcloth or teatowel. There was No running hot water. The bath taps were so corroded that they fell off in your hand and therefore the bathtub was unusable. The shower only dripped water and again ,had no hot water supply and absolutely NO pressure. The bathroom and bedroom windows were so rotten they did not close fully . The entrance door did not fit the door frame leaving a large gap at the bottom allowing rain water to flood the lounge overnight. In addition to the lounge flooding I was woken throughout the night with rain pouring into the bedroom through the rotten window and air conditioning unit, again flooding the floor. All of he light switches and sockets are aged and many showing signs of corrosion. There was no receptionist or manager available at the resort when I sought adsistance . I had a tertible experience at this accommodation and sadly offered no assistance or refund. I would not recommend booking to stay here.
