"Nous avons passé un très beau séjour dans le gîte de M.et Mme Maurer. L'accueil très chaleureux ,les propriétaires très attentifs à la qualité du déroulement du séjour , .Le gîte est très bien équipé , très propre , convient trèsbien à une famille .A part le coq qui chante (nous sommes à la campagne !), pas de bruits qui pourraient déranger . "Stefan and Maren are wonderful host. Amazing location located on the winery hill. Postcard worthy view from the garden and the area. Our host family showed their hospitality with their recommendation for restaurant and activities. The interior of the house is very detail oriented for family. Sadly we stayed for 2 nights only. "Pros: Nach einer entspannten Reise durch die Südpfalz und das Elsass öffnet sich automatisch das Tor zum Parkplatz und man fühlt sich wie in der Toskana: Eine Villa im mediterranen Stil, Zypressen, ein gepflegter Rasen und die weiße Laufenten Pipo:-) Herzliche und großzügige Gastgeber gehen auf alle Wünsche ein und zeigen, dass man wirklich willkommen ist. Die Wohnung ist groß und gut geschnitten - auch mit sechs Erwachsenen fühlt man sich nicht beengt. Sehr gut auch, dass zum "Wellness-Bereich"...

"The property was unusual in that it was actually two individual residential units in one house. The Host labels them as the lower and upper apartments. We, alone with most others I presume, stayed in the upper apartment. The lower apartment didn't appear to be used as frequently and had a bit of a musty, stale atmosphere. "Overall we had a great stay and staff are very attentive and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic but it’s 39 euro pp which is steep (although perhaps given the properly it’s expected). Spa is fantastic and absolutely gorgeous. We had no issues with AC given we were there in the summer. Parking is 30 euro overnight and is located downstairs - it’s independent of the hotel so they have no control over how many spaces are available etc. for example when we arrived at 8pm after a long travel day the machine to get into the garage was broken and we had to wait around 45 minutes till someone came around to fix it. Hotel had no solutions and just shrugged their shoulders. The rooms are nice but outdated - no central light switch, bathrooms are showing a lot of wear and tear, no UBS outlets. My main issue was with housekeeping - who despite having a do not disturb light AND sign on the door barged in EVERY morning. They wouldn’t even wait for us to come to the door, they would just come in. Doesn’t matter what we’re doing, doesn’t matter if we’re dressed - they felt they had full freedom to just walk in. That is ridiculous!!!!! Please train them better - that’s unacceptable. Overall you know you’re paying for location and history, but a few small nuances detracted from this feeling like a “5 star property”"
