Hoedown Island

At the moment they are undergoing a renovation of the restaurant and there is just a temporary bar set up in the lobby. There are many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, but I was very disappointed in the bar. They could have made a better area with more ambiance, as it appears that this is a long-term project possibly going into next year. The staff were not always at the front desk, but the car valet was helpful in tracking them down. We unfortunately missed our opportunity to have the room cleaned as we were getting ready to go out, but she couldn't return. The next day I asked to have the room refreshed as I did not want them coming again in the afternoon, but it was a minimum of service. The hotel is in an excellent location. It is in an old bank building and has an art gallery. There is a Marriott Residence Inn just across the road, and we enjoyed both of their restaurants, one of which is a rooftop bar and restaurant with great views of Lexington, and the other a great Italian one.
