The Neighborhood: The Macquarie is centrally located in Macquarie Street leading directly into the Hobart CBD. A short 5 minute walk takes guests to the hub of the action or venture 5 minutes further into historic Salamanca Place where the bustling market takes place each Saturday. Princes Wharf is adjacent to Salamanca Place, where the ferry departs regularly to acclaimed MONA. Getting Around: The convenience of The Macquarie allows guests the option to avoid a hire car and take in the sights of Hobart on foot. Alternatively the accommodation comes with free off-street parking if required and access to an EV charger. Hobart is also serviced by Taxis and Uber, which are both affordable and reliable. A couple of small improvements could really take the property to the next level…..such as including additional toilet paper and tissues in the property.The ensuite off the first bathroom had cobwebs under the sink and a large dirty waterline ring in the bath that had clearly been missed.Adding a small coffee/nespresso machine in the kitchen would also be a welcome touch. Coming from Qld I’m used to most coffee shops opening around 6am however it appears in Hobart it’s pretty common for coffee shops to not open until around 7:30am!Really liked the keyless entry, made entering the property very easy! ##### Jean C.
