The Inn on Maritime Bay, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"A great place to stay next to Lake Michigan!"
Village Inn on the Lake
8/10 Good
"Clean stay. Wouldn't opt for poolside if we stay again. Didn't choose it but next time we'd like lake view second floor. Kids in the pool early. Which is fine. Perfect for families, just not for us. Friendly staff."
Harbor Town, BW Signature Collection
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel's facade doesn't do justice to the hotel. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, fluffy comforters, choice of pillows, Breakfast is served to individual preference -- breakfast sandwich with several sides to choose from cooked to your specs -- surprising experience given that is a quaint little hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Great hotel especially when looking for a one night stay."
Lighthouse Inn

"The rooms are spacious and the view is great! Great breakfast!"
Manitowoc Inn
8/10 Good
"Room was clean. AC worked well. Bed was comfortable. TV remote/service could be better."
Fairway Inn and Suites, an Ascend Collection Hotel
8/10 Good
"Room and hallways were clean and appeared to have recently been renovated/upgraded. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine and popular with the guests. Needed more coffee to keep up with the crowd. While the property was generally clean, one minor note for the management, it was Saturday night/Sunday morning and a trash can near one of the entry doors was full and had other boxes, and trash piled up next to it. A quick walk around by staff would have seen it and it could have been emptied."

"Our family stayed for five nights. The home itself was clean except for the floors and the location worked great for our trip, but there were several issues that future guests should be aware of.The clothes dryer did not function properly during our entire stay, so we were unable to dry our laundry. The owner acknowledged the problem and explained that it could not be repaired until after we checked out. While I understand that unexpected maintenance issues happen, the dryer was an advertised amenity and was unavailable for the duration of our stay.Another surprise was the trash policy. Guests are required to bag all trash before departure, but for a five-night stay with two adults and two children, only three trash bags were provided. This requirement was not disclosed in the listing before booking, and we felt there should have either been enough bags supplied or guests should have been informed in advance that they would need to purchase additional ones. After our stay, I requested a partial refund to account for the loss of the advertised dryer amenity and the inconvenience. The owner declined, stating that because they were unaware of the dryer problem beforehand, they were not responsible.I believe prospective guests should know about both the maintenance issue and the owner's approach to resolving problems. If having a working washer and dryer is important to your stay, or if you expect some accommodation when advertised"
Hot Tub | Sleeps 20 | Private Beach | Game Room
10/10 Excellent
"Our family stayed here for our annual vacation with grandparents, aunts & uncles, and cousins. The house has 5 bedrooms with King beds in each room, and 3 full bathrooms, plus a pull out couch, and 4 queen sized bunk beds in an open area. This space is just big enough for our crew. The private beach is the highlight of this home as you really don't even want to go touring anywhere because the deck overlooking the beach and the beach itself is a vacation. We are sad the price has to go up because of new renovations and we will miss this place after two years of family vacations here! The week we stayed was during July's record heat wave and the house air conditioning couldn't keep up which made for uncomfortable sleeping conditions, but there are worse things in life. The owners are easy to maintain contact with and tried to immediately remedy what they could in this situation. Be prepared for the iron/hard water if you've never lived with it before - it does leave an orange tinge in the tubs/showers and might even tint your swimwear orange in the hot tub - but it will wash out later. The house is on a quiet road and not far from fun tourist locations if that's what you are there for - a small country store is also just up the road with an excellent deli, groceries, and some souvenirs."
