We loved looking out at the views, enjoying the gardens and song birds as well of the sounds of farm life surrounding us. To top it off at breakfast one morning we saw a dolphin swim along the coastline below! We loved the design of the cottage to take in the views from every room and the created privacy with the beautiful gardens. We’ve stayed at many places around the world and this was by far one of the best experiences we have had. Glenn gives a very throughout description of sights to see around the area and not to miss spots to see. Kitchen was well stocked and had all the cooking items you would need. We had a one bedroom suite and it was perfect. Lots of room. Liked the bathroom - great shower and nice to have a washer and dryer at our disposal in the room. Very comfortable bed. Great air conditioning too. The restaurant was the best hotel restaurant we’ve ever had. We ate 3 of 7 dinners there. Wonderful breakfast buffet too. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. They accommodated our request for a late check-out which was much appreciated. I would absolutely stay here again." It is a self-funded conservation project that provides for the birds that make it their home - the nests are provided and their habitat is maintained and restored, there is a research program and a hospital for injured or sick birds. The tour takes you to the opposite coast where you can see the penguins come into shore and learn about their strange ways. We saw yellow eyed penguins, little blues and also fur seals. The yellow eyed penguins are endangered, because their juvenile survival rate is incredibly low, and they aren't prolific breeders.
