Week in the woods

Great stay, great property. Cabin is well cared for, decorated nicely and equipped well. Bedding was comfortable and it was nice having several living areas for the week long stay.

Beautiful location! Quiet and serene- the only sounds we heard were a distant train and a few coyotes. And the stars at night were absolutely amazing!

Omar and Julia have created an absolutely fantastic retreat atop a mountain away from the chaos and hectic lifestyle so prevalent right now. The cabin is an oasis and serve as our basecamp to hike daily, birdwatch, mountain bike, and fish. For the first time ever on a getaway we didn’t eat out at all. I would definitely recommend star gazing as there is absolutely no light pollution on Chestnut Mountain. Keep the feeders on the porch stocked and you will see all kinds of bird life and butterflies. Deer were in the vicinity every time I ventured outside or looked out the windows. The house itself is very comfortable and felt like home. It’s a difficult mix to get right and they did it with ease.
