I took my mom to Austria, close to where the Romy Schneider Sissi movies were filmed. Hintersee was perfectly located, literally at the end of the road! It is perfect for people wanting to experience Austria in all its glory. And who love to immerse themselves in the local community. The owner Margrit was lovely and thanks to her translation app, she was able to guide us for a fantastic stay, The property is close to hundreds of hiking trails, glacial lakes and beautiful villages. I recommend the friendly Alte Krämerei Hintersee for a night out. Owners, mother and son team Renate and Daniel Lungermeir are the greatest hosts and took time to make us feel like locals! The apartment is comfortable and in a good position (25min to Wolfgangsee, 30min to Saltzburg and 5 min to the wonderful Hintersee lake (50 min walking)).
