As luck would have it, Dalhousie experienced heavy snowfall during that week and roads leading up to Aamod was closed to traffic as a safety measure. I was told that the only option of reaching Aamod was by walking on foot, in ankle deep slippery snow on an uphill terrain measuring 4 to 5 Km. "I stayed at the Alpine Club in June with a friend. Contrary to the listing, there was no wireless internet anywhere on the property, no coffee/tea maker in the room, no laundry services, no iron or ironing board on request. While we were there there was also no hot water, when we wanted to bathe we would call for a bucket of hot water to be brought up to the room. "A great property and very friendly staff. They have good packages for sports as well. But it is very expensive. Location is juts lovely as you can see the Ganges flowing and the mountains. However, the cottages does not have TV and the WiFi is very slow. I had booked for 5 nights and hence the stay became too long for me. Overall a good property and good food."
