It was a nice unit for a couple of days, but wouldn’t want to haul up 2 or more weeks of belongings up the 36 steps. PSA Don't even try to bring you boat and trailer to Hilton head, there will be no place to leave your trailer!!!

Gorgeous courtyard view, $20 parking fee
We stayed in 3 different places on HHI for this trip, and this had the best balcony views of any of them! The courtyard that you overlook from the balcony is absolutely gorgeous! The condo was very nice and well appointed. There were soaps and coffee supplies and plenty of towels. All very nice. The beach is close but it isn’t as pretty as the ocean beach on other parts of the island. But the great thing is the proximity to the beach. This resort is very close to the water and this condo is in the closest building. The beach is essentially a private beach. There are also two public parks, one on either side of the resort that are nice to walk to/through. Our only issue was the fact that we had to pay $20 (cash only) for a required parking pass. $20 is minor in the whole picture, but this should be mentioned in the listing.

Perfect location
The place was great and in the perfect location! We were able to go to the beach at least once a day. We were not far from either savannah or Beaufort which we visited both during our trip. The place had everything we needed.

The condo was comfortable and quiet. Couple of suggestions - should note that the condo is on 3rd floor with no elevator. We are all seniors and climbing those 3 flights of stairs was an effort. The condo needs some updating - woodwork in bathrooms was filthy; painting was cracked throughout the condo. Screened in patio was a definite plus. Guard complained that owner never alerts them with new guest information and getting in the gate took a little time.

Very nice stay
The condo is well equipped for a family of 4. We had a great time exploring the island. We enjoyed taking morning walks along the beach. The indoor pool and hot tub was really nice during our Nov visit. Margaret was a great host. She was very responsive and helpful.

Home away from home
I would highly recommend this place. It was clean and well maintained. The landscape was beautiful towards the beach. Quiet and safe feeling. I loved sitting on the balcony drinking coffee and listening to the water fountain. So peaceful and relaxing. I was sad to leave. I will be back again some day.

The Spa at Port Royal Sound
It was overall nice but there were lights out in the condo which we called about and someone came to replace but only some of them, still burned out lights. Also the washer and dryer very old and didn’t work well.

Quiet private community
Our family stayed in this unit for a few days as an affordable option to other area on the island. It is gated and secured costing $4 cash a day to park that we found out about upon arriving. The condo was just enough space for our family of four. The small kitchen and living area was okay for gathering and dining. It was good to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms but as mentioned by a previous guest the second bedroom is cramped with two twin beds. Seems ideal for younger children. A small screened porch overlooks the pond and trails area There are a few rusted beach chairs that we did not bother with. Some peeling paint and sofas in needs of cleaning or replacing indicate a need for some updating. There are two pools that we checked out. The smaller one by the shore was too shaded and buggy so we enjoyed the larger one in the sun. There is an indoor hot tub that is nice and an indoor pool that was a little chilly. The typical check out time is 10AM though we got the ok for an additional hour. It’s a nice quiet community away from the bustle of most of the island

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The outdoor pools are great. We really enjoyed looking around the sound at low tide for little crabs and found 2 sand dollars. The sound at low tide during sunset is beautiful. Would stay again.

Was a great location to get around and see things but the beach is not really a swimming beach. People swam but i wouldnt step foot in that water. If you do decide to swim being water shoes. It is a awesome place to see the sunset and sunrise!

Very nice unit and on the quiet, less congested end of the island but very close to more action if needed. It is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. I don’t remember reading there was a 20.00 “parking” fee. I would stay again.

Awesome Property
Very close walk to Fish Haul Beach and there were chairs to take to the beach. You can even watch the sunset & the sunrise from this beach! It has a great view of the pond fountain & nice pools too! The condo itself was perfect for myself and my 16 year old granddaughter but we could easily have fit more. It was definitely a bonus to have 2 bathrooms. The balcony is screened in, which was nice for breakfast. Easy drive to all the beaches and shops, since the island is pretty small (no more than 30 minutes from one end to the other). Margaret was very accommodating, allowing us an early check in, once the condo was ready after the previous guests had checked out.

HHI Beach Condo
Well-loved but very clean condo! Did not have any concerns about our toddler crawling around on the floors. Quiet location about 15-20 minutes from all the action. My son enjoyed playing on the natural beach and looking for shells. Pools were great- especially with kids. Owner was super responsive/helpful. Only con was that the master bed was uncomfortable. Otherwise, we had a great time!

Lovely and quiet
Very nice condo. Especially enjoyed the screened in porch that overlooked the garden. Short walk to the beach and also liked the well-placed shady swings overlooking the ocean. Since the condo is located on the Sound not the Atlantic, it is a quiet, shallow beach, but the shallow water makes low tide a wonderful experience by walking out in the ocean for what seems like a half a mile! And unlike other Hilton Head beaches, this one is not crowded which we loved.. We would stay here again.

Place was small but cozy, well stocked with everything we might need. Close to a multitude of stores. Our hostess Margaret was fantastic and super accommodating. We left something at the property and went above and beyond to get us in contact with her housekeeper who was also fantastic. Highly recommended!

Overall our stay was pretty good. All the information as to how to access the property was given ahead of time.. Overall we feel that the unit 1329 should probably be updated,especially the master bathroom. Patio blind didn't operate properly, master shower enclosure needs upgraded. Ceiling/wall in living room needs repaired. Overall, comfortable and quiet for a 3rd story unit.

Another peaceful, relaxing and most enjoyable get-a-way
Property was as advertised. Clean and cozy. Definitely a great deal. We like to take a lot of weekend getaways on short notice, so big expensive places wouldn't be very feasible for us. A place like this is just what the Dr. Ordered for us. Very quiet and relaxing and close to the ocean. Really enjoyed having some coffee in the screen room that overlooks the pond in the center of the complex. We enjoyed this property a lot and would go back for sure. On a side note, it is on the 3rd floor, so if you have a lot of luggage be prepared. Good news with that though is it's the 1st condo at the top of the stairs, so you don't have far once you get up there. 😊

This property certainly met our expectations except that it was on the 3rd floor with no elevator. We are both retired and in good health, but lugging our stuff to the 3rd floor with no elevator was a bit much.

Beautiful condo…very peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed the landscape and pools on the property. The owner was very easy to work with and quickly responded to minor repairs. The only drawback to be aware of the condo is on the third floor and no elevator.

Nice Location and Condo, although needs Updating
The Spa at Port Royal's amenities and the location of this condo is very nice. Walking up to the third floor was not a problem for us, but you should be aware of this. The condo is pretty well equipped and we found the beds comfortable. A few added items would be appreciated, such as potholders, place mats, and replacement of some very old pans. For us, the condo is a little worn out and needs updating. A coat of paint and addressing some minor repairs would do wonders.

The prior reviews are pretty accurate. Secondary bedroom needs MUCH work honestly. Twins beds were too much size for that room and couldnt open.the closet to use at all really. So I didnt. And the mattresses were actually horrible. Plus as prior reviews stated, window coverings in both bedrooms were either not right size (master) or sheer and light from lamps and daylight just made sleep.more difficult. The bathrooms were old but still worked as should, though drain in second bath, did not drain properly and sink had a leak that I did report to host. Rest was quite relaxing, though I would have preferred front door lock and unlock safer and easier. Neighborhood had most all amenities you would want in hotel or resort actually-2 outdoor pools that are closed in November, 1 indoor pool with hot tub that didnt have any bubbles working the whole time we were there, a sauna, tennis courts and awesome intercoastal beach access, which we thoroughly enjoyed. My only other issue was not related to this unit, but loud noises occurred during the night by apparently one of the other tenants/residents which kept me up 2 nights in a row, despite earplugs the 2nd night. I had to call police it was bad. Still not sure where that was coming from.. sounded like a neighbor might have been doing inside work with an air compressor that would literally start its annoying humming every 45 minutes or so, lasting a good 10 minutes....just in time for me to be fully awake again. Did alert community mgr about this the last night and it was not a problem the last night, so he may have known who it was or just coincidence. Owner/host always helpful throughout process of reserving and even while there. Not sure we would stay here again, but it was definitely not bad either. Thank you.

Guys trip
I think this property is really nice. There were 6 adult males at this stay and it worked well for us. If it was all females it might have been a different story. Having 3 daughters and a wife, I know it would take more than the 15min each to get ready each day, but with guys minimal time in the 2 bathrooms was needed. The place is layed out nicely and has an indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna which is nice during the cooler months. I have stayed at this place 5-6 times in one of Margaret's unit. We have never had a bad experience. The property is nice and the people we encounter are pleasant as well.

This property is conveniently located in area of privacy and clean with lots of history to find in walking or biking distance! Also, a great property to those who like to find beach finds!! With it being so full of great things and affordable it needs a deep clean which I’m sure it was in the works! A hurricane had just missed them so! Thank God it was intact for our awesome getaway!! They had us on the third floor. My wife and I are in our 70's, this should be part of the reservation. The unit was old, holes in the wall, furniture used a lot. Bath room needed painting. I would not recommend for the price of the room.

The place was very nice. Great amount of space with 2 BR and 2 BA. Nice living area and fully functional kitchen. Great views and nice pools on the property too. Others have stated, so just be aware of walking up two sets of steps. Other than that, this is an ideal place to stay in Hilton Head!

Margaret was an excellent host--being very responsive with a very minor issue with the coffee maker. She went above and beyond. It was the perfect location for us to attend our daughter's theater performance. And because it was just a short walk to the beach, we also had time to take in the beautiful scenery along Port Royal Sound. We also had easy access to restaurants for pre-show meals. The whole trip was fun and easy thanks to this great condo and its host!

My wife and I really enjoyed this place. We have stayed in this unit before and it works well for us. Nice and clean condo. The only draw back we found was it being the 3rd floor unit and has no elevator, but being on the 3rd floor allows a nicer view than being down lower. If you are ok with steps this unit could be a good option. Mrs. Margaret is easy to work with and is easy to get in touch with if needed. We will be staying here again.

Perfect for young family!
My husband and three young children (7, 5, 2) stayed in this condo for a week in June 2022. The condo itself was clean. The condo community was great for young children. This specific condo is in the building directly next to the beach and very close to both outdoor pools. It was a very short, beautiful walk to the beach. The only downside about the location of the condo is that it’s on the third floor, and no elevator so you will need to go up and down two flights of stairs. No big deal for my family and this was made clear in previous reviews so it was not a surprise to me. The condo itself is a two bedroom with a queen in one room and two singles in the other room. The couch in the living room pulls out. The queen bed was comfortable, the single beds were firmer but our kids didn’t complain. TVs in both bedrooms as well as the living room. Kitchen is furnished with dishes, coffee pot, toaster, blender, microwave, and some pots/pans. Also has a broom but no dust pan which was a surprise to us. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer were all working well. There is a screened in patio with 4 chairs and 2 tables. There were also some beach chairs but we didn’t use them so I can’t speak to the shape of those. The beach itself is a natural beach so it has more debris and no real waves. The water is very shallow very far out. There was a lot of wildlife (birds, crabs, etc) on the beach which was awesome. Lots of shells which my kids loved collecting. It’s about 15 minutes to Coligny for the real “beach” feel which we did for a day but with how young my kids are, this beach was perfect! I wasn’t a nervous wreck about my kids going out too far and it was very relaxing. The only thing we had a hard time with is that at night there is a very noticeable alarm sound going off for most of the night. At first we thought it was some kind of beach alarm but I guess it may have been cicadas or toads. We are from Rural Indiana and live in the country and are used to a lot of sounds but this sounded very mechanical. We noticed it the most the first night. It was hard to relax on the porch at night with the sound. Overall we had a wonderful visit! We would come back to this condo in the future when we come back. For the price and proximity to the beach and pools, you can’t beat it.
