Our stay in the Bear Mountain Suite was delightful. The location was perfect for day trips to the Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Wall Drugs. I would definitely recommend this Inn to anyone looking for a clean room that provides a restful and quiet night’s rest.
Everything was wonderful! Great location, clean and updated room with so many amenities, hosts were wonderful and very helpful during check in. Loved that it is above the family’s coffee shop so we could stop in for a coffee before heading out for the day.
A very nice room and just what we needed for our visit. Our host was warm and engaging and the location of the rental allowed for easy walking to dinner around town.
We stayed two nights in Hill City. Great central location from which to explore the Black Hills. The room was tastefully decorated with mountain/western theme and very comfortable.
My wife and i were looking for a quick roadtrip to somewhere we had never been. This location was ideal for being able to drive a short distance to see the sights. The coffee shop was phenomenal and fairly priced. The locationwas also perfect as you are in walking distance to the main strip for dining, shoping, and everything else the town has to offer.
The Bear Mountain Suite at Mountain Peaks in was comfortable and charming. The little touches -- cute surprises in the log accents, mountain-themed decor, etc. -- were very appropriate for this Black Hills location. We were there in early May, which is off-season, so some of the local businesses were not open yet. The upside was that there was almost no tourist traffic, so the area was very peaceful. The Bear Mountain Suite is upstairs over a coffee shop, which is very convenient. We recommend this place without hesitation.
We enjoyed our stay. The owners were great and helpful. We did have a small hiccup checking in but was quickly handled. The coffee shop is very cute and the lattes are amazing!
This is a cozy, inviting and great place to stay. The owners are delightful and being able to walk downstairs and get a good cup of coffee was a plus! Will definitely be back!
Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Easy to get in and out of the parking area. We had a very quite stay, no noise except the traffic which was no issue.Steve and lisa were very nice .
Much more personal and charming than another cookie-cutter hotel room. Enjoyed the attached coffee shop. Did not get around to using the outdoor grill or fire pit, perhaps if we were with a larger group we would have utilized them more. Enjoyed our stay very much!
The Bear Mountain Suite is a great accommodation for 2 people. The location is within walking distance of a very nice downtown. All communications were timely and accurate. The coffee shop is very nice, and the coffee is great! Steve & Lisa are outstanding hosts.
Our room was comfortable and clean. It was nice to have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker to utilize. (Although the smoothies and lattes they made us downstairs were absolutely divine!) The location is very convenient to many of the places we wanted to go, and the downtown area was safe and friendly. Would definitely return if we're back in South Dakota again...LOVED our stay here!
Even though we could only stay one night (instead of the planned two), we had a great time. The room is decorated perfectly for the location. Such nice ambiance. Very comfortable. We wish we could’ve experienced the coffee shop, but the timing wasn’t right, hopefully next time!
The property is location is its best selling point. The bed was comfortable .
The checking should have someone there or text the door codes etc. The room was hot and took all night to cool down. The ac ran all the time making sleeping difficult. I suggest a larger refrigerator as the tiny ice cube tray is useless and a small bag of ice will not fit the freezer so you have to dump half of it to fit the freezer. The room could use a ceiling fan , a closet for hang upstairs and maybe a comfortable chair.
