The property exceeded our expectations. The house had plenty of space for our family, it was warm, cozy, inviting, and most importantly very close to down-town Hill City.
Great location and spacious house. Not much privacy being on the main road, but very conveniently located. A minor maintenence issue when we arrived that was taken care of promptly.
This was a fabulous place for our family of 4 to stay! Extremely clean! Furnished very nicely. Great supply of towels and supplies. We loved everything about this place and will be back! Ken was the best host I've ever worked with.
Property was clean and check-in could not have been easier. Location was great for downtown and the Black Hills attractions. Road noise could bother people if you are sensitive, but we aren't and that is what you get if you stay downtown.
This is an ideal location, a block from shops, half block from Mickleson Trail, next door to a coffee shop! The Main St. was a bit noisy with the Sturgis Motorcycle Ralley coming up. Great air conditioning and large enough rooms.
Great location. Walking distance to 1880 train and “Down Town” Hill City. WIFI worked well here. Home is spacious. Used 2 of 3 bedrooms. Majority of our time spent in Hill City was exploring, such as Devils Tower, Badlands, Custer State Park, Black Hills OHV roads/trails/Spearfish Canyon/Needles Highway/1880 Train Oktoberfest Express etc. Would stay at this VRBO again.
This is a wonderful location in Hill City. And worked well for four adults. As mentioned, both bathrooms are on the first floor but this was not an issue for us. While there were plenty of towels and washcloths, pillows and blankets, some new kitchen pots, pans, and cooking utensils would be appreciated for those of us who like to cook. We feel the house was larger than it looked and the location was just perfect. We will stay again when we return to the area!
The property was perfectly located…walking distance to Main Street. We loved the place and Ken did a great job making sure everything went well. Definitely recommend.
This property is the place to stay. Location is perfect for walking the town. The back yard was peaceful and a coffee shop next door. House had everything needed.
Great house and setup, loved the fenced in area for our dogs. Not big enough driveway to pull trailer in, especially on busy highway/intersection. Overall great place and location!!
It was a great place to stay with a great view. We could easily walk to down town. The place was clean and well kept. The only thing is, while it has more room for trailers than most houses in the area it was a bit tighter than I thought to get my truck and trailer in and out of there.
Communication with Ken was awesome. He even stopped by to see if we needed anything or if we had any questions when we first arrived. Very handy location to see the southern part of the Black Hills and the surrounding attractions.
We had a very pleasant stay. The location was great. We could walk to restaurants and all the shops on main street. We loved having a coffee shop next door and purchased our morning coffee and treats there. There was a gas station just two blocks away which I found very convenient. The location was great and easy to find. We appreciated having two separate bathrooms but it would have been nice if one if them was on the second floor.
This place is in the perfect location. The entire city is walkable. Many really good restaurants, bars and entertainment. The house is very clean, well maintained and decorated very nicely. Parking is ample, one note of caution is that the parking is deep gravel. Was a bit of a challenge on motorcycles, but we managed. Will look for this place again when we return to the area.
This place was perfect for us. My father and I used our stay at this property as a hub for some UTV trail riding. The driveway was just the right size for our pickup and trailer and utv. The house was extremely clean and tidy. We utilized the Hill City restaurants for our dinner meals, and they did not disappoint. The house offered more than we utilized while there. For anyone looking to stay directly in Hill City, this is a wonderful property to stay at.

No bathroom upstairs. Loud traffic noise. Low quality kitchen supplies.
The property was very nice. Fenced in yard was great for our dog. No bathroom upstairs was a kinda a pain. Kithen had old pots and pans. Cracked bowls. I had to go buy trash bags. Lots of traffic noise. Great location.
Easy walk to all downtown attractions and restaurants. Directly across from the train also. The house was older but has been upgraded and remodeled and was spotless. We met the owner who was very helpful and interesting to talk with. When we couldn’t locate the hair dryer, he went out and bought a new one for us immediately. The only downside of the old house that some may have is the bathrooms are on the main floor, there are none upstairs where two bedrooms are, but it didn’t matter to us. Very reasonably priced for what we got. Large parking area, enough for our small ATV trailer and a few cars.
