Houlgate is gorgeous. The property is tired, though. Felt a bit "institutional". Disappointing that the pool/spa only opens at 10 and closes at 7 which means you can either have a day out or stay and use the facilities. Not something I'd considered before. Spa was good though.

Only issue was that we had no hot water to shower the morning we left, which ironically enough is exactly why we booked them because of a hot water issue at another facility. As we left they told us it was fixed and we could use it but we were already packed up and ..."
