Village green , Heydon Heydon village is privately owned, belonging to the estate of the Bulwer Long family since 1640. There has been no new building in over 100 years, giving a feeling of "stepping back in time". It was created a conservation area in 1971 and has often been used as the set for TV and film productions.

Heydon Hall Lodges (west entrance). This fine hall had at least three such gated entrances: this one, the one in the village in TG1127 and one on the Norwich - Holt road 528382

Beautiful old hotel in an excellent location for the city centre! We stayed in the Surlingham junior suite and the room was big and so full of character we absolutely loved it! The staff were so friendly and helpful and we would totally recommend staying here!
