Last minute trip to Flanders
We booked our trip the day before as a last minute break. Sabine is a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The gite is very close to the Belgian border and we visited several historic sites as well as a brewery tour. Would highly recommend as a base for anyone wishing to explore Passchendale, Ypres and other WW1 places of interest. Thank you Sabine, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Best Gite in Northern France
We were looking to find a nice little village to stay in with easy access to northern France and Belgium. What we found was a great Gite with a wonderful host who was very attentive to our needs and made us feel quite at home. The Gite had plenty of room for us, everything we needed (we found not having a TV was in fact a bonus), and a lovely garden to relax in. Sabine gave us helpful advice on what to visit, how best to get there and assisted us across the language barriers (she speaks English much better than we speak French!). We loved our stay and could not have asked for a better combination of location, comfort and host.

Perfect Stay in a Perfect French Village
Sabine is a fabulous host and so friendly. We arrived after a long motorcycle ride and immediately felt at home. The gite is beautiful and has everything you could ever need for your stay. Although situated in the middle of a lovely village, it is so quiet and we sat outside in the sunshine on an evening listening to the birds. We have just returned from a two week adventure around Europe visiting six countries and our stay here was a highlight of our entire trip. Thank you Sabine and we will definately be staying again but for longer!

Wish it had been longer.....
This is a beautifully converted Presbytery and it has everything you need for rest and relaxation. The outside space is an oasis of calm and the accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped. We received a very warm welcome - we stayed here as a one night stop over on our way to the Ardenne region in our faithful Morris Minor and there was ample safe and very secure parking for the car. We would very much like to have stayed in this beautiful retreat for longer to explore the unspoilt French - Belgian border and so we will definitely return. A super local shop has fresh croissants and bread - just heaven for breakfast! Thank you

Beautiful area and very quiet. The property was very spacious and light. Good information on what to do in the area. Sabine was most amiable and friendly. Unfortunately, we kept hitting our heads on the low beams, in bathroom and bedroom. We did not like the only toilet being downstairs, without hand basin.

Beautiful, cosy and soooooo..... French!
Sabine is such a warm and welcoming host. She was a mine of information regarding the local area The apartment had everything we needed for a short stay, with free parking on site. The decor is gorgeous and the garden so atmospheric. The village is lovely and quiet but with a SUPERB supermarket just 2 minutes from the apartment. Very conveniently located to explore the local area. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location to visit both France and Belgium
Sabine was really helpful, found out local information for us, made sure that we had sufficient coffee, tea, etc. The gite was well kitted out, we cooked on a few evenings, and ate out also. The bedroom is well laid out, good shower in the ensuite. The garden is a nice quiet space.

Beautiful jite in a quiet village , Sabine was lovely giving us tips and money off vouchers for local tourism spots. The only thing I missed was having a TV to watch in the nights ...and you have to share the garden. Peaceful and tranquill .....

Sabine was most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. The cottage sits within in a beautiful town and is ideal for getting to the Port at Dunkirk. The cottage decor and furnishings is to a very high standard with everything that we needed to ensure that our stay was comfortable. Luxury accommodation at an affordable price.

La propriétaire de ce gîte est exceptionnelle. Toutes les adresses qu'elle m'a conseillé nous ont permis de passer un weekend formidable ❤️ Une fois que vous rentrez de l'espace qui vous est complètement dédié, c'est comme si vous entriez dans un havre de paix. Le jardin est apaisant, très bien entretenu, décoré avec goût et tous les équipements sont propices à la détente et au confort. En ce qui concerne le logement en lui même, tout y est, vous n'avez besoin de penser à rien. La décoration est sobre et élégante. C'est l'endroit idéal pour se ressourcer ❤️

tout simplement très accueillant
Le Gîte du Presbytère est aussi accueillant que son hôtesse ! Séjour agréable dans un petit gîte tout confort, idéalement placé, avec un jardin clos parfait pour les petits-déjeuners, déjeuners et dîners en plein air, le tout accompagné d'un accueil attentionné.

Knus maar klein verblijf
De gastvrouw doet veel moeite de gasten naar de zin te maken. Soms is zij teveel aanwezig. Hoewel de inrichting goed verzorgd is, brak de beperkte ruimte ons op. Dat en het slechte weer maakten dat we eerder vertrokken.

Ik moet reageren op uw opmerking die in 7 jaar verhuur de ergste is. Het is waar dat het weer in december (dat hetzelfde is als het uwe) niet erg aangenaam was. Klaagt u over het gebrek aan ruimte???? Onze accommodatie biedt vaak onderdak aan 4 personen die erg blij zijn met hun verblijf. Het verbaast me dat je me "te aanwezig" vond, omdat het je stoorde ... enz. of je gewoon "Merry Christmas" wenst We hebben helemaal niet hetzelfde idee van gastvrijheid en netheid. Met grote teleurstelling heb ik je recensie gelezen. Je kunt niet iedereen tevreden stellen!!!!

Sehr sauber bei Ankunft. Kaffeekapseln waren auch vorhanden, obwohl nicht so unser Geschmack. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und dank einer Übersetzer-App, auch keine Verständigungsprobleme. Alles in Allem sehr gut.

Entspannte Tage in Herzeele
Schöne Unterkunft im Nebengebäude einer Anlage aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, alles sehr geschmackvoll restauriert und eingerichtet. Ideal für 2 Personen. Une belle découverte !
Situé dans un cadre idyllique et des plus calme, nous avons eu la surprise de découvrir le gîte encore plus joli que ce que les photos pouvaient montrer. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l’accueil et la disponibilité de la gérante durant tout notre séjour. Ce fut un séjour très agréable : nous y reviendrons !

Eine leider viel zu kurze Woche in der Gite du Presbytère...
... wir haben uns in dem schnuckeligen Ferienhaus sehr wohl gefühlt und wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Die Räumlichkeiten sind für zwei Personen ausreichend groß und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sabine ist eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin, die uns stets mit Tipps und Informationen für unser Touristenprogramm versorgt hat. Zu erwähnen ist auch der Cocinelle-Supermarkt, der mit einem einminütigem Fußweg zu erreichen ist und alles für die Erstversorgung hungriger Touristen bietet. Herzeele ist sehr gut als Startpunkt für diverse Ausflüge gelegen, als da wären der tolle Strand in Malo-les-Bains, Dunkerque, Bergues, Cap Griz-Nez. Lille usw. Das war garantiert nicht unser letzter Urlaub im Nord-Pas-de-Calais und auch nicht in der Gite :-)

Tolle Lage, super nette Gastegeberin
Das Gite ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und absolut ruhig gelegen. Wir hatten den Garten für uns alleine. Sabine ist eine sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin. Sie hatte viele Tipps für Unternehmungen und Restaurants in der Umgebung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Tout a été parfait !!! Accueil chaleureux et logement agréable et au calme. Seul étonnement : l'absence de télévision (mais cela ne nous a pas gênés comme nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit)

Wunderbar abgeschieden und genau mittendrin...
Unser Aufenthalt im Gîte de Presbytère war einfach wundervoll. Das im kleinen Örtchen Herzeele gelegene Cottage bietet alles, was man benötigt (auch ein Gefrierfach ist jetzt da), um sich zu erholen. Es ist so geschmackvoll eingerichtet und der Garten wie eine kleine Oase. Sabine und Didier haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns „Frankreichanfängern“ mit einem tollen, individuellen „Besichtigungsfahrplan“ der Region geholfen. Wir haben so viel gesehen und uns dann im Cottage wieder toll erholen können. Es hat uns viel Spaß gemacht und sehr gern kommen wir wieder! Herzlichen Dank, Sabine und Didier! 😊

Erst nach einer Woche aber mit Freude kommt unsere Bewertung.Die Wohnung mit dem wunderschönen Garten entsprach genau unseren Vorstellungen, um uns 14Tage zu entspannen. Gastgeberin Sabine gab sich Mühe in allen Dingen Probleme zu lösen,und besondere Tipps zu geben zum Beispiel: ein gutes Restaurant für den Hochzeitstag. Der sehr gute Supermarkt in der Nähe. Das beste, die sehr guten Ausflug Empfehlungen, die wir alle nutzen konnten. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Kommen gerne wieder. Gruß Dieter und Juliane
