Beautiful little lodge in a lovely rural location.
Beautiful little lodge in a lovely rural location. We had a wonderful welcome package when we arrived and the lodge had everything we needed as a family with two small kids. The hot tub was great! Very close to Hay, Arthur’s Stone and we also took a drive out to the Elan Valley. Carol was a great host and easily contacted throughout. Would love to stay again!

We spent 6 nights at Cuckoo Lodge, it has a lovely open plan kitchen diner/Living area, with the end wall being full height glass windows looking out onto the decked hot tub area and countryside views. The lodge is relatively new and is modern and comfortable with a lovely bathroom and the bedroom has a king size bed. The small garden area is enclosed as the field beyond has sheep, a short drive away is Hay-on-Wye which has excellent eateries, book, gift and antiques shops and various markets through the week with lots being dog friendly. We had Sunday lunch at the Castlefields which was really nice any questions Carol & Ian were happy to answer. We loved our stay and the hot tub was bliss after our long walks around the area, highly recommend the lodge it was lovely.

A fabulous lodge, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable.
A fabulous lodge, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The hot tub was perfect and although the lodge was perfectly warm, the log burner was great when the temperature dropped. The restaurant next door does the most amazing carvery - well worth booking if you have a weekend stay.Hay on Wye is a few minutes drive away and has lovely shops, pubs and cafes. The welcome gift of wine, bread and other treats was very much appreciated. The weather was terrible during our stay but the lodge was the perfect spot to get away from it all.
