This luxury cabin is located only 7 miles from downtown Helen. The living room has vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace and a flat screen television. The kitchen is equipped with all major appliances, a microwave and a coffee maker. The master bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and full bathroom, while the two other bedrooms each have queen beds and their own full bathroom. Upstairs in the loft area is a chair that folds out to a twin bed. Start the day off with a view of the morning sunrise from over the mountains, then end the day relaxing in the hot tub while listening to the sounds of nature or sit around the outdoor fire pit for storytelling. Over all the cabin was clean and lovely. The view was spectacular. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always enjoy going to the mountains to spend time with family and friends hiking and visiting wineries. Our favorite part is sitting and talking and enjoying the Mountain View. There was not a Mountain View at this location. It was obscured by the the overgrowth of trees. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We needed to get away before our busy season started. I wanted to away high up on a mountaintop away from people. That's exactly what we got a not a soul around. It was so peaceful and quiet. We wanted to be near Helen and Anna Ruby falls and this was the perfect location. Yes the road to the top of the mountain is on a slightly bumpy dirt road but that's part of the adventure of being in the mountains. I was hoping to see a bear but we didn't. We did see a beautiful deer right on the road. So make sure you go slow and respect the wildlife. You will even see a mini waterfall on the way down the road on the left side.The decor in the cabin was just perfect with bears everywhere and cute lamps in the bedrooms. Beds were comfy and plenty of extra pillows and blankets if needed. The bathrooms were nice and clean. You have have to remember to turn the water spicket to turn on the shower. (I saw that when reading an answer to a review) We had everything we needed in the kitchen I made breakfast every morning and we sat and ate it on the screened in porch looking over the mountain tops. The hot tub on the screened in porch was nice and clean and we loved to use it. I would highly recommend this Cabin! ##### Cindy B. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was peaceful, but the lack of attention to the porch left a bad taste. The deck was “covered” in yellow pollen. It looks like for a very very long time. There was goo under the grill. The patio table & chairs were covered in yellow pollen. I had to clean the porch to even partially enjoy it. It’s a shame because the outdoor spaces have so much potential and they are missing the mark. No seating at all on the front porch. No seating for the fire pit anywhere available. I guess people just stand there or sit on the dirt? When we opened the windows to enjoy the fresh mountain air the window sills were full of dead bugs, leaves, spider webs and all types of debris that would have flown in with the wind so we didn’t get to enjoy that either. The quality of the products was as low as you can get. Think single ply TP and the cheapest paper towels on the market. If you’re used to finer products bring your own. Also, I’ve never seen such bare necessaries in a rental property. VERY basic. I’ve rented a lot of Vrbo properties her and in Europe and this was just missing any sort of special touch. The view, nature sounds and hot tub all get 5 stars. Personally I wanted to enjoy the outdoor spaces but the lack of comfort and cleanliness severely limited that part of my expectations. If that could be rectified I would rent this property again. ##### Annelise O. Reviewer Comments: Long story short, this was not the home we had originally reserved, the first home was sold & no longer available, this was offered as an alternative. The home was lovely, three bedrooms were in separate areas with their own private baths, nice! The highlight of the home was the screened-in porch with far-reaching views & a nice hot tub. Though there were other homes fairly nearby, none could be seen from the porch so the sense of privacy was real.On the less positive side, do not count on a fire pit, though it is listed in the description. There is a fire ring there in the front by the drive, but, as mentioned in other reviews, there is nowhere to sit and it is obvious it has not been used for some time. I'm pretty sure I saw a review response (or two) that mentioned chairs on order, so I assumed... Those reviews were old and still no chairs. Truly, a couple of very large logs to sit on would be sufficient. If you travel with chairs, you might be tempted, but the placement is still off-putting. Others also mentioned the drive up, which can be a little treacherous if wet or if you meet another car. Fortunately for us, it was dry and no traffic, so just take it very slow and watch the holes and ruts. It's not long, not terrible and the view is worth it.We enjoyed our stay in the area, visited Helen for Oktoberfest, hiked, visited some of the waterfalls and also spent a day winery hopping, which was nice and there are plenty to choose from. We really enjoyed Hofbrauhaus at the end of downtown Helen, closest to this house. The food and service were great, the patio offered great views of the river & had live music. Cristoffs beer garden was pleasant, the staff friendly. Be sure to visit Betty's Country Store, charming, deceptively large and has everything you need, and then some, for food and wine.I would revisit both the area and this home. The house is lovely and there's plenty to do nearby. ##### Dawn K. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing weekend at Eagles Nest. Even before our trip began, GA Mountain Rentals called to make sure we had received the information necessary to get till to the cabin and ask if we had any questions. We did have one small issue with the hot tub that we called the after hours line for but we were immediately able to call them back to let them know that we had resolved the issue ourselves. Someone showed up at our door the next morning with a bottle of wine to thank us for saving them the trip the night before. This company knows about customer service!
