Best part was the host, Jon was incredibly kind and accommodating. We had some major issues with our airline which led us to almost miss our reservation. "I stayed here when I spent a few days in Bilbao after a running trip in the Picos. The apartment included everything I needed for a great stay: comfortable bed, warm shower, kitchen supplies, etc. The location is good. About 800 meters from historic buildings, all the bars and restaurants of old town, and the open air market. Bilbao is a nice walkable city, with excellent public transit, so getting to the Guggenheim and other attractions is easy. I walked there so I could admire the scenery...

"Julian's property is a 3 level townhouse on the edge of a lovely old town Viana. Very convenient for touring around the various wineries of Rioja. Comfortable house with all usual facilities and a pleasant garden to sit out in. Although lacking a kettle on arrival, Julian delivered one very quickly which was appreciated. I would suggest that a map or written notes on the precise location of the property would be welcome for new arrivals. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Julian was most helpful...
