It did not say that if mobility was an issue this property is not for you. The stairs to the bedrooms were very difficult to climb. They were narrow with a handrail on one side. Having a bad knee made them almost impossible. All the bedrooms were upstairs. If there had been an emergency getting down would be disastrous. I don't know if this property would pass fire codes. The location is wonderful, and the rustic charm is etched in our memories. We enjoyed fires in the large fireplace as well as the kitchen stove the entire time we were there. They provided plenty of firewood for us. The hot tub was perfect after our hiking adventures, which are easily accessible in every direction. There was more than enough room for us as we were only 2\. The only hiccup was checking in, as we did not hear from Larry after several attempts. We showed up and luckily the door was unlocked. Larry showed up the next morning and apologized and said he had an emergency, and we completely understood. But it was a little unsettling to show up to this place in the middle of the woods at dusk and not knowing if we were going to be able to get inside.
