Grassington lodge offered no help in finding alternative accommodation due to their error. Extremely disappointed with how it was all handled and how we was treated and we would never use or recommend this property in the future."

The location is excellent, in a quintessential Dales village, with a number of fun shops and eateries. The room was simply furnished but perfectly adequate. Be aware there are a number of steps, and the tub/shower is deep to step into, so not a good choice if you have accessibility issues."

"Arrived Monday afternoon, member of staff said the chef had done a runner, on the Tuesday another member of staff said the chef had a day off, on the Wednesday another member of staff said the chef had taken an extra day off and offered us tea and coffee and cornflakes foc. The bar closed at 5 so if you wanted an evening meal you had to order early, that is if the chef was in. Sorry i cant give this hotel a rating, and the shower was hopless."

"This is a very charming place situated right in the center of “Darrowby”. The inn has a beautiful garden and the breakfast is tasty and well done. The innkeeper Lynn was the best example of hospitality we have ever had, coming to the rescue when our rental car had a flat tire in a remote area. She really embodies the reputation of how lovely the people are in the Yorkshire Dales, and took extra care to make sure our car troubles didn’t ruin the vacation."
