Beautiful property
My wife and I chose this property for a weekend getaway in spring. The cabin was tucked away, just off the main road to Hayward, secluded but easy to find. During our stay we had morning coffee on the screened in porch, reading and enjoying the views on the outdoor deck, and also spent time on the bench on the dock watching the visiting swans (we saw 22 one day!). The host was friendly and responsive, the property clean and well-maintained, we highly recommend if you are looking to relax and unwind.

Great choice to stay here!

Eclxcellent get away
The cabin is adorable, and well provisioned. Very conveniently located for all nearby amenities. Screened porch is a definite plus. Bathroom is a little cramped, but otherwise fantastic!

The most complete cabin we’ve ever stayed in.
This is a great place to stay for a getaway to unwind, relax and enjoy a quiet wooded setting. It’s not a place to swim or fish,there are many of those places close by, but it’s a great place to take in the beauty of the north woods while sitting on a bench on the pier or taking a quiet canoe ride. We were there the end of June. The pond/spring/back water was coming alive. The tadpoles too numerous to count, several small families of ducks landing for a rest and the local turtle very busy digging holes to lay her eggs in the sandy gravel of the driveway.

The cabin is quaint, warm and charming. The decor greets you with a smile as you walk in, but the amenities make your stay comfortable and convenient. The quality of kitchen ware is top notch. My pots and pans at home should be so nice. There was nothing we wish was there that wasn't, and the communication with our host was exemplary. Thank you for a weekend of tranquility and rejuvenation. We were very pleased with our stay.

Winter biking getaway
Five star stay! Location is just minutes to all the fantastic trails. Had a such a wonderful time at this cozy cabin. The hosts do such a great job in the upkeep and care of the property. It was very clean and comfortable. There were even games, puzzles and books which I thought was a nice touch. We are looking forward to another stay here again, this time to enjoy some warm weather activities. Winter Ski Weekend
We had a great time staying at the cabin for a long weekend skiing on the Birkie trails. It was so convenient to get to OO Trailhead and Birkie Ridge. The cabin was well stocked with kitchen essentials and there were lots of extra blankets available. The cabin stayed plenty warm despite frigid conditions for a couple of nights. The gas fireplace/stove provides most of the heat for the main living space. The kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom have separately controlled baseboard heaters, and there is also a space heater available. Would definitely stay here again for a family getaway!

Comfortable and well furnished
We had a lovely weekend at this cabin. The location is great for skiing at OO. The cabin is well furnished with real dishes and cooking utensils, similar to home. We especially appreciated the dishwasher. The gas fireplace is plenty warm and a cozy atmosphere. Thank you to Le for contacting us about a coat we left behind, and helping us retrieve it. We would love to stay again!

Beautiful escape
Had originally booked for a holiday that was cancelled due to weather. Hosts were great to work with regarding rescheduling and communicated in a timely manner. Property was lovely and had all we needed for our stay. Located close to the trails and lots of prime Wisconsin gravel. Hope to return in the future.

Northwoods bird paradise
Beautiful, clean, comfy cabin/cottage. No tvs to enjoy the sounds and views of the swans that live just feet away from the cabin. Well stocked kitchen, comfy bed, nicely decorated too. Extra plus it comes with a canoe.

Perfect, Cozy Cabin
This was our second stay at this cabin, and we just loved it. We were in the area for the Birkie Trail Races, and it was just what we needed. Kitchen is well equipped, everything is very clean, and the location is great. Communication with Le was great, she was accommodating when we had to adjust our arrival date and responds very quickly. We would certainly stay there again.

A Return to the North Woods.....
We really enjoyed our time at the Northern Lights vacation rental! It was a great place to unwind and enjoy our 48th wedding anniversary with a little shopping....good food....some bicycle riding....along with paddling the canoe around the lake. Reminded us of time spent in the U. P. northwoods,, years ago! Le and Terry were excellent hosts! Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!

Perfect getaway!
This cute little cabin was exactly what we were looking for. My kids absolutely loved this and we all had a blast. The cabin was cozy and clean, and had everything we could ever need and more. The view was beautiful and we loved waking up to the sounds of nature. The property managers were very helpful and kind. This was a great experience and we can’t wait to come back!

Cozy cabin, close to CAMBA trails, loaded with pesticides though!!!
Cozy home in a quiet location close to the CAMBA trail system. Very clean and organized. Only drawback was the surprise early 8:30am pesticide whole house spray. We had no notice before getting blasted, and I was very uncomfortable with it. My son and I had no chance to leave prior, and the owners were unapologetic. Very poor communication was disappointing. Otherwise was great.

Hi Mandy, As I previously communicated with you, we did not know that the company was coming when they did. It was a routine treatment for asian beetles. If we had known the time, we would definitely have let you know. It was a 10” treatment on the outside of the cabin. As we previously said, we are very concerned about pesticides because the water in the lake is pristine. The chemical used was a repellant, not a pesticide, that the beetles don’t like so they stay away. We are sorry that you were disturbed and surprised but we were unaware that they were coming on that day. Le

This was a perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of nature. . We enjoyed the lake and taking the canoe out. The cabin had everything we needed. Met the owners - very nice. Would love to return some day.

Pike's fishing paradise
Excellent fishing- the lake is steps from the house. The cabin is perfect for a small group and is well equipped. The nearby town and attractions are good as well. The hosts are very friendly. Highly recommended.

Anniversary destination
For our 30th anniversary, my husband and I stayed at this very comfortable, attractive cabin. We enjoyed relaxing down on the pier, reading on the porch, and grilling out when we weren't exploring the many beautiful waterfalls within easy drives. If ever back in the area, we would definitely try to stay there again.

Finished winter by skiing Birkie trail for 2 days. It was a little slushy in the afternoon but fun. The location of the place was perfect. I enjoyed using the host grill outside for steaks!!! Thanks

Beautiful location, cozy cabin
We were in the area for a weekend of ski racing at the Birkie Trailhead, and this cabin was so perfect for our family of three. Super clean, very very cozy. It was dark when we arrived, and we woke in the morning to the most beautiful views of the lake and fresh snowfall. Just lovely! The photos don’t do it justice; it has a quintessential north woods cabin vibe and gorgeous views all around. The kitchen is well stocked, including olive oil and loads of spices. Quick access to the Birkie trail at OO and the Trailhead. Le was very responsive with questions. We didn’t want to leave!

Le and Terry were *incredibly* gracious hosts! The cabin is stocked with anything you'd need for your stay--I wanted to cook all of my meals at the cabin, and had everything I needed. There were thoughtful touches throughout the whole cabin! For pandemic planning/distancing purposes, wanted to let others know the owners (currently) live next door, and the next nearest neighbors are along the south side of the cabin by the dock. There's strong cell signal, and the owners are testing cellular internet for their guests, if that's important to you. The trumpet swans were so fun to watch, and I enjoyed the screened porch. This is a gem of a cabin, and the hosts are wonderful folks!

A great find
Small lake but pretty much had it to ourselves. Cabin is well stocked. The sports room was a great bonus, big enough to store our electric bikes, fishing poles and tackle box provided. Our hosts Le and Terry were the best, great local knowledge. Highly recommended!

Loved our weekend at this cute cabin. It was ver clean. Although it is small, it had everything you would need. The kitchen was well appointed. The beds were comfy. The location was perfect. The hosts were amazing. When my car failed to start on a -30 degree morning they worked to get jumper cables and jumped the battery so that we could head home. Thank you for a great weekend!

Excellent location to take advantage of recreation (x-c skiing) in the area, with many trailheads, and the Birkie, within a short drive from the cabin. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. It looked out onto a lake and there were ample windows in the cabin to enjoy the peaceful view.

The cabin was everything that was described and pictured and more. The weather did not cooperate with us but we very much enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable, the living room cozy and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and it was a great home base to view all of the beautiful State Parks.

Perfect Cabin
This cabin has all of the north woods feel on a gorgeous small lake. It is newly remodeled and clean, which are high priority items for my family! I loved cooking in the kitchen with the view of the lake and cozying up by the gas fire in the cool evenings. The screened in porch was a great place to have coffee in the morning and get outside while avoiding any mosquitoes.
