Gorgeous, immaculately kept cabin. Perfectly quiet and comfortable stay for my daughter and I for our xc ski weekend. Conveniently close to local amenities and the Birkie xc trail system, but just far enough removed to feel the North Woods vibe. Responsive, friendly host. Absolutely staying here again in the future.
This cabin is amazing! Absolutely spotless, beautiful, & cozy. We enjoyed being able to walk out the front door and get on some great hiking trails. Super close to downtown Hayward. Jennifer was so kind and communicative. We can't wait to go back!
Our 2nd time staying at Birkie Haven was as great as the first time several years ago! Clean, comfortable beds, well-supplied kitchen and bathroom and love having a shed for bike storage!Close to Hayward and CAMBA mtb trails. Close enough to Copper Falls State Park and Madeline Island for day trips.
Birkie haven was fantastic! Perfect for our weekend getaway to the north woods. Cabin is clean and right off the birkie trail. We would definitely go back to this property!
We loved this property!! We celebrated my husbands birthday with our best friends. Close to Hayward and the Namekogen River, this was the perfect home base for our adventures! Everything was as described, beautiful home, great kitchen and comfortable beds! Host was super helpful and prompt to respond to messages. We would definitely stay here again
Beautiful property, better than advertised. The pictures online do not do it justice. Larger than i thought it was. Everything wotked as it should. The hosts really have everything there, minus your good....but beautiful kitchen. All around a great stay !
Lovely, new, clean and beautiful cabin for a friend’s getaway in the woods. The plan was to eat good food, have quality outdoor time and enjoy friends. We walked out the front door and were able to snowshoe on the shared groomed trails surrounding the neighborhood. The cabin had everything you need! The only caution would be the sitting area is in a loft accessible by a ladder so if you aren’t super mobile it might not be the best spot for you, but we loved it! The host was super helpful and responsive to any, silly, questions we had!! It was perfect!
I’ve been using Vrbo to book places for the past five years and keep striking out. Mice issues, no heat or limited heat (locked box we could not adjust) are just some of the issues we’ve ran into (we visit in February to ice fish). I’m happy to say we found a gem of place this time. The space was perfect for us and had enough room for everything we needed. The amenities were solid and the place is very nice. Additionally, the property manager was incredibly responsive and on top of everything. We didn’t use the loft but we also weren’t there long enough to need it. Its proximity to Hayward was great as well.
Nice, relaxing mid-May stay at the Birkie Haven for some fishing and exploring. Perfect location just outside of downtown Hayward and close to the Namekagon River and area lakes. The cabin was clean and quiet. Nestled back on a large, wooded lot. Very little traffic (15 mph speed-limit) other than the few neighbors several hundred yards away. Surrounded by countless birch trees. The occasional morning deer and numerous songbirds. Very bucolic. The Birkie Haven was as described in the listing. Very clean, multiple coffeemakers, washer/dryer, enormous smart tv, board games, wi-fi, a wonderful gas fireplace adding to the ambiance. Firepit out front with numerous Adirondack chairs. A detached storage shed (perfect to hang your waders out to dry). Ample and comfortable seating and beds.Wonderful stay, would definitely rent again.
We booked this cabin with the idea that we'd use it as a home base for skiing the Birkie trail, and riding the Camba trails (both of those trails connect right out the door of the Birkie Haven cabin). With the warm weather, we got in a single bad ski, and a single decent bike ride. Neither was what we were looking for, but this cabin at 'The Brook' made up for it. Everything was great. The Brook is a little community with sweet little trails all around it. The cabin was well appointed, with nice decorations, a gas fireplace, and everything you might want for a quiet few days to yourselves. It was QUIET, which was wonderful. There's a ladder to the upstairs, where the comfortable seating (couch and chairs) is located. If we come back this way, we'll surely stay here again.
Stayed there for couple of nights it was peaceful and very nice place to stay at! Would highly recommend to people that are looking for a nice little getaway
Very nice stay! Comfy cabin and the trails were great for November skiing. Everything in the description matched our experience - including the stairs to the loft; definitely be aware of that if you might have difficulty navigating stairs (or have smaller children).
Super duper cute and cozy while still being spacious. Would be perfect for a couples get away. Kitchen was well stocked and the set up was convenient for cooking. Very close to trails and perfect distance to town while still making you feel like you're out in the middle of the woods. Host was very kind and communicative!
This is a lovely newish cabin that is attractively and understatedly decorated. The kitchen is well equipped, and everything around the cabin is helpfully labeled. The heating was unusual, but it works. All our communication with the owner was pleasant and helpful.
Couldn't be better! Such a beautiful setting and the cutest cabin with an excellent host. We are rested, refreshed and made wonderful family memories. Thank you for an amazing week!
My second stay at the Birkie Haven this year. As relaxing, trouble-free and enjoyable as the first stay in May. Peaceful, bucolic setting on a large, wooded lot far from any neighbors or noise, yet a quick drive to Hayward, the Namekagon River and a little longer to Cable. Multiple trails right out the front door for morning and evening walks. Wonderful flora and fauna to view. The cabin has all the amenities and conveniences I seek in a rental including wi-fi, smart tv and all required kitchen appliances and utensils/serving ware. Guests even have their choice of a drip coffee maker or Keurig. Washer/dryer, ac, fireplace, heated floors for those chilly days and evenings, fantastic air circulation with multiple ceiling fans. And bright and airy with large numerous windows and high ceilings.Jennifer, the host, is very welcoming, responsive and knowledgeable about the area. Any questions are promptly and thoroughly addressed. Check-in and check-out are easy and trouble-free.Looking forward to future stays at the Birkie Haven!
