Staff was nice and polite. Even though it is right by the highway, which is convenient, it is very quiet.

We were in room 106 and we could hear every word that was said in the room next door...every word. There was an adjoining door between the rooms and I made sure our door was locked but it was like having someone chatting in our room long after we went to bed. I felt like someone would come in our room at any time. Very uncomfortable.

Easy check in, standard breakfast service. Sheets and towels were clean but bathroom had multiple foreign hairs. The shower needed a good scrub, I was nervous to use it. It was easy to access.

Road closed to Hays
We never made it to the Comfort Inn in Hays. There was a white out on I 70 and our car went off road and was stuck. The Sheriff in Russell sent. Deputy and he took us to Russell, Ks and helped us get a room. The highway was closed at that time. We called Comfort Inn, but I am not aware if the cancelled our reservation. Since this was out of our control, we thought they would.

There are less expensive places to stay in Hays but we picked this one to take advantage of the breakfast offering. I was in the dining room at 6:15 and they were out of the protein (eggs). There was only pastry rolls and toast. I checked back every 15 minutes up until the time we had to leave and the breakfast bar still was not refreshed. I mentioned it to the clerk but was only given a perfunctory "sorry". We stay in Hays fairly often on our way to Colorado Springs and will definately not use Comfort Inns again. Mark

Reserved a double queen, they were “sold out” when we got there. They only had a king. kids had to sleep on a small couch (pullout part was broken). Overall bad experience.
