Great location

We loved our stay at this Condo at El Dorado Kaanapali. The apartment was spacious and was very comfortable for us. The location was also very convenient. A few minutes walk to the Beach Cabana and also to the shops. Whalers Village also close by. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay here.

Another wonderful stay
We were supposed to stay here last year, but a positive COVID test changed that. Throughout that experience, the owners were very understanding and gave us a full refund even though we were outside of our cancellation period. This year was our second time here, nothing much has changed with the place. There is no better value on the island. You get to stay in a spacious one bedroom condo on one of the most famous beaches on Maui. The resort has 3 warm pools and a cabana to enjoy on the beach. The walk down to the north side of Black Rock takes about 10 minutes, but that side is much more quiet. If you want to go to the main Ka'anapali beach, cut through the Sheraton and you are there. There is also a Ka'anapali Trolley stop by the front desk that can take you to anywhere in the Ka'anapali resort area. You are also across the street from the Fairway Shops where you can go souvenir shopping, eat or rent snorkel equipment. You are also relatively close to Lahaina Town or go up north a little to visit Napili, Kapalua or Honolua. Everything on the west side is very close to this place. This place is a tremendous value and we would look to book again, but it's already sold out for next summer.

This condo is well maintained and close to two amazing pools. The walk to a virtually empty beach is short - or you can take the complementary cart ride from the office. We loved the cabana and the stores directly behind the condo. We also recommend the musubi from the condos cafe - so yummy!

Amazing! Former local, picky about where I stay on island, loves this condo.
This is our second stay at this wonderful vacation home. The condo feel's oversized for a one bedroom. The bedroom has bathroom/shower with really large separate dressing area. So much closet space. Extra linens, pillows, blankets, lots of space to unpack. And separate lani off the bedroom. Living space is also very large for a condo. Entryway gives good separation of space. I was able to work in the living room and everyone else could sleep with out being woken. There is a desk but I set up at the dining table since we ate exclusively on the lani dining table. Furniture was comfortable and plenty places to relax. Our daughter loved the lounge in the bedroom. Plenty of dishes and cookware. We ate in most of the time and found the kitchen easy to use, lots of spices, olive oil, coffee filters, ect. The second bathroom also has the laundry area and another closet stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards tons of snorkel equipment, life vest of different sizes, beach toys. Each stay we add to the mix. We didn't have a single issue the entire stay. The owners and front desk were very responsive and kind. The gym was really great and had free weights, squat racks, bumper plates and was very clean. The property itself was stunning, flora and fauna were striking. The property is located 3.5 miles from Lahaina, about the same to Napili Bay. 2 min drive to whalers village. This vacation home is more than you can imagine.

Overall great stay and location!
Our family of 4 stayed here for just over two weeks (2 little ones under 8). The location was great - close to both pools and just a few minutes away from the lobby. We love a first floor unit as the kids can go outside and play in the grass area. The staff at the Eldorado were great, always very helpful and kind. We had a few hiccups during our stay but nothing that wasn’t promptly addressed by the owner or property manager. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect Location and Perfect Condo
Nothing but positives about our stay. Beds were comfortable (even the pullout couch had an added cushion). Having 2 bathrooms with 6 of us staying was perfect. Easy 8 minute walk to the beach and with paying Resort Fee there is access to being driven back and forth from the beach. The 3 pools at the resort made it great for the kids to go swim as well as the BBQ's/cooking area was great when needed. The electric grill at the condo worked wonders too. Overall, we would book back in the future. We love the location and being able to snorkel right at the beach was great as well and the beach was great too.

We really enjoy our stays in this condo. Although it is not the most updated condo we've stayed in, it certainly ranks up there for convenience and affordability. It's clean, comfortable and the Eldorado is one of my favorite places to stay. The beach cabana is one of the coolest things in Maui! We will definitely stay here agin.

Huge place and immaculate grounds
While the place is dated, you cannot beat the price. The place is huge and was perfect for our small family of three. The numerous solid walls and doors that separate the rooms allowed my wife and I some alone time to talk and hang out, while our daughter was sleeping. The grounds are unbelievably maintained thanks to the hard-working gardeners. It is very peaceful to stay here and I would recommend it to everyone. The golf carts to the beach and shuttle to Whaler's Village are also wonderful. Great pools and friendly staff. This is how paradise should feel. Thanks!

Such a cool place!
What a great location! You really don't have to go any where to have fun and have everything you need. Just pull in and hide your keys for your entire stay and you could have a blast just by walking to everything that is right there. Our family loved it!

Conveniently located next to the pool. The beach is a bit far, but there is a free shuttle that takes you to the cabana. However, we waited for the shuttle for 15 minutes and didn’t want to wait any longer so we walked. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Sweet Spacious Condo
This was just perfect for us. There was plenty of room for us & our adult daughter to easily relax. We had everything we needed except food! Very comfortable. Not fancy, but sweet & nicely furnished. The crew at The Snorkle Store, next door, at the Fairway Shopping Center was spectacular! There's a 50% discount online for all your snorkeling needs, including masks with corrective lenses! They give great safety advice & a daily snorkle report. The little store in the same place has pretty much everything! And the Times Grocery Store is unbelievably big, & well stocked, & has a big meat department full of fresh local fish for the grill. Getting to the beach & back is so easy with the availability of a 6 seater golf cart that will drop you off as close to your door as possible. Also, the attendants at the Cabana were very friendly & helpful. We truly cannot wait to come back again! Mahalo Bill & Linda Deeb! Close to highway, beach, mini market, golf, and bus/Trolley line. Fit 6 ppl comfortably. Good kitchen with nice pots, pans, cutlery and utensils. Nice patio area ND close to pool. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Beautiful resort in amazing location
This condo was wonderful. Although the decor is a little bit dated, it was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our week long stay. The resort was absolutely beautiful, and they provided excellent customer service. Very fast walk along beach walk to Whaler's village and so many great restaurants. Absolutely terrific.

Although this condo could use some updating, you can't beat it for the price. Everything you need is there for you. It is clean and convenient to everything. We love the cabana and the turtle pool outside the back door. We have never had any problems while we have been there, and have already booked our trip for next year. We have stayed in this unit multiple times.

This was our second time staying in this condo. It was exactly the same as last time, comfortable and convenient to the beach. Having two bathrooms is nice and we used the washer and dryer several times. We would definitely stay here again next time on Maui.

Wonderful stay
A little background. We were supposed to stay here in April 2020. Due to COVID we cancelled our reservation and Bill and Linda refunded our money even though we were outside our cancellation window. So we already knew we were dealing with good people. We stayed here with our two children and my parents. It was more than enough room for the 6 of us and felt like a two bedroom condo because of the 2 bathrooms and changing areas. This is our favorite location. We have stayed at the Eldorado 2 other times. Loved having the cabana and the golf cart that takes you there. The Ka'anapali Trolley takes you to Whaler's Village and the Hyatt for Ululani's Shave Ice. You can walk to the north side of Black Rock in 10 minutes and it is much less crowded on that side. In the mornings I was able to snorkel Black Rock without having to deal with the crowds. The condo is located right in front of the turtle pool which we used almost everyday. We enjoyed watching sunsets from the main pool and watching the sunrise over the West Maui mountains. The condo itself is fully stocked: coffee grinder, coffee machine, rice cooker, blender, toaster, dishes, cups, utensils, beach gear, electric BBQ, everything. We had such a wonderful time staying here. The only complaint I had was a squeaky ceiling fan. Other than that, there were no issues.

Special place!!
The location is perfect. This property is across a golf course to a perfect beach and walking distance to Black Rock for cliff diving and great snorkeling. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pans, silverware. There was a little market/convenience store across the street, and grocery stores within driving distance. The unit is on the first floor and convenient to parking. It’s close to the smaller pool, but the larger pool, jacuzzi and shuffle board are still pretty close. The location was ideal for day trips and a short drive to Lahaina. The condo is Hawaiian chic I would say, you can get something fancier, but for the price and the vicinity to the ocean, this place was perfect. My seven year old son an I had a blast! The hosts were friendly and responsive. I hope to come back!

Amazing place to stay for a good price!
My husband and I couldn’t agree more when we decided to stay here! The condo is clean and very spacious with lots of amenities. Full kitchen if you want to save money and cook! We Love the pools and the private beach… you don’t even have to go walk that far! Did I forget to mention the Cabanna!! Everything in this condo will want you to stay here in your next trip to Maui!

Great place for the price!
this place is exactly as it looks in the pictures. Lots of room for 6 guest. We had six in our group and it accommodated us nicely. Location is great it's right behind Black Rock, Kaanapali Beach. Which I agree is a better place to be because Kaanapali Beach gets very crowded where this beach stays a little less occupied. Beds were nice and comfy we even had a younger couple sleep on the pull-out sofa and they said it wasn't bad. Yes the place did smell a little musty but for the age of the condo and on the beach it's kind of expected. Having the small turtle pool right outside your back door was a nice treat. Overall for the price and the location this place was a must rent if I ever go back I will definitely try to rent this place again whether I have six or just two of us in our group. The caretaker was a very friendly man who had lots of good suggestions on beaches and places to go. We did have to have him come restock our towels cuz there wasn't quite enough for all six of us. But he quickly responded and came over and took care of us with no problems.

this place was way better and way bigger than i expected! the “private” beach was one of the best beaches i’ve been to and the cabana was so amazing! also having a washer and dryer was so nice! they had a cooler and boogie boards and much more that we were able to take to the beach! seriously 10/10 would stay here again. thanks bill and linda! :)

This Condo had it all!
Really big unit, filled with anything you might need. Snorkeling, beach towels, life vests, beach toys, chair, pool floats. I found this unit charming in decor and had peekaboo ocean views. The staff was always amazing. Golf cart to help get us and our things to the beach. Cabana was wonderful. Lani was huge, dbl with table for eating, lounge chairs, and BBQ. Pool areas were wonderful, hot tub, games, and more. We eat in mostly and it was easy to cook and store food. Close to everything. We spend most days on Napili Bay and it was only a few min away. 5 min drive to Lahaina town. Can't say enough. I hope we get to come back and visit soon. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality.

Very relaxing away from tourists
I took my best friend for a week's stay in this nice and clean rental. It was quiet because it's not near the beach (the photo that makes it look like it's on the beach is actually the cabana where you can get chairs and towels). However, you are within walking distance to the big hotels, Kaanapali Beach, and Whaler's Village, but it was nice to be above the fray with a nice view. The pool was the perfect temperature (we only used the main pool) and eating our meals on the lanai was heavenly. We cooked almost all our meals in the well-stocked kitchen and we each had our own comfy bed. Two roomy bathrooms meant we each had our own space as well. (One has a shower, one has a bathtub/shower combo.) It was a great stay! (Be sure you are aware of the resort fee of $18/day. I had forgotten and it was a bit surprising, but there it is, in black and white in the description). You'll love this moderately priced gem!

The condo is much better than the pictures did justice. Plenty of room for a family of 5. We cooked almost every night using the kitchen and BBQ. Brand new washer/dryer installed. Clean carpets, baths, beds, and furniture. Plenty of supplies. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Owners Bill and Linda are most gracious and informative. The Turtle pool was used by our kids everyday and so conveniently located. We walked to Black Rock. Best value in Kaanapali and competitively priced. We hope to come back again. Aloha!

This condo was a lot bigger than we expected especially since there were two full bathrooms. It was just my sister and I staying there so we each had our own. It was clean, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed. We especially loved having our meals al fresco on the lanai. We will definitely stay there again.

We've stayed at this condo two times now, and you can't beat the location and amenities at the property. The condo is dated (but does have new carpet!) and has everything you need for your stay. Could use a bit of an update on some of the kitchenware, though. It's on the ground floor and across from one of the small pools on the property - if you have a small kiddo, it's perfect! 10 minute walk to the beach with a cabana just for the Eldorado....SO NICE! there is a fridge for you to keep your lunch (the rest of the kitchen is closed due to COVID) and they have towels and chairs - no lugging your own down to the beach. The unit does come with beach toys and chairs in case you go to a different beach for the day. overall, great spot - i recommend!

This one bedroom unit in the Maui Eldorado condos was so pleasant for us. We appreciate the owners and all the furnishings and little extras. Due to the personal owner touches, we felt like we were important guests. I can’t imagine how we would have more enjoyed our stay.

Excellent beach and cabana!
The size of the unit was perfect. We had everything we needed for dinner preparation and storage. The property grounds are great and location amazing. The only complaint is mould, We tried to stay out of the unit until bed time as it did make us feel ill when spending long lengths of time inside. Maybe removing the carpet or maintenance on the air conditioner would help?

We have listened carefully to our guest's concerns. We check on a regular basis for anything like mold. We have not found it.We have checked again as a response to this review. We found no mold. The air conditioning filters are being replaced this week. The carpet is not moldy and undergoes regular cleaning and shampooing.

Thank you for the review. We want to note that our listing states that the condo is decorated in traditional Hawaiian style. The guests did not mention an odor to our on-island representative so that he could determine what, if any, odor needed to be dealt with. Being in the tropics with central air conditioning can lead to the need simply to air out the unit on arrival.

My husband & I spent 5 nights here. The condo was comfortable and we slept well every night. The kitchen is functional and well stocked, but outdated. We used the beach chairs every day, but only one of the boogie boards was usable. There is no umbrella or adult snorkel gear, but those are easily and cheaply rented at Boss Froggs. We fell in love with the cabana and utilized the golf cart service. They show up within 5 minutes to shuttle you down there or back up. We also used the turtle pool every day and it was nice to be able to walk off the lanai and right over there. We would highly recommend this place and hope to stay here again.
