The location is outstanding very close to a magnificent beach and only 5 mins by bicycle to the town which has an excellent market especially for fish. A bicycle is essential travel on Isle de Re and great fun. The rooms are quite amazing and very intimate indeed. The restaurant which is shared with a sister hotel is of a very high standard as is the Ocean restaurant in the town,so good dining alround. Heated pools a bonus.

Loved the pool. Was very quiet at night. The shower was fantastic.... Beach towels good. Staff friendly Breakfast was quite good..warm croissants and bread but only one cereal offered (cocoa pops?) The hall upstairs smelt of mildew ... outside needs maintenance and a good clean ...shower outside pool looked as though it hadn't worked for years...

Hotel Chateaubriand was clean and comfortable. No elevator hence 4 stars. Parking limited but perhaps book ahead to ensure a space. Walk into the city centre for shops etc only about 10 minutes. Really friendly and helpful receptionist when I arrived (2/10/25). Would definitely stay again when visiting ...

Nice no frills hôtel. Nice Little kitchenette, warm shower, large bed. Simple but good breakfast. The coffee machine is probably the we got so far on this trip. Hotel has no parking but there is nearby parkade at 22 Euro per day and complicated to access either by car or on foot.
