We loved sitting on the porch, the hot tub, and the fire pit. There are houses nearby but far enough away to feel very private. I’m so glad they provided firewood, that was a huge perk. We ended up going to Lake Wilhelmina State Park to hike a couple trails and ate at The Ouachitas in Mena, the drive is so beautiful! The couch wasn’t very cozy, but I understand the need for it to be a futon. The bed was so comfortable and the bedding was perfect. The place was nice everything was new and worked great. The shower had good pressure the bed was big and comfortable. It was cold this weekend and they had the fire pit ready to go all we had to do was light it. The hot tub was the best part if you want to sit in the hot tub and watch the sunset you can it has a very secluded feeling we enjoyed it and def will be back. Also we woke up to a dead battery and the owner sent a worker out to jump us off was there very quickly. The owners were quick to answer or help with any questions we had. It was hard to maintain a comfortable temperature and there were bugs and spiders from a gap in the double door. The hot tub was nice but the lumber mill was kind of annoying as well as the loud train every 4 hours or so. The bed was hard to get in and out of and there’s no counter space in the bathroom.
