Entire place

On hilltop with pool. Only 400 feet down to waterfront, dock & kayaks.
Exuma Vacation Cottages: located away from the congestion and noise of George Town. The cottage has equipped kitchen, living room, 1 bedroom, 1 dressing room 1 bathroom and a screened front porch. Ideal for two people, can sleep three.Located directly across from Moriah Harbour Cay, which has been designated a Bahamian National Park. Moriah Harbour Cay has miles of the most beautiful, pristine (and almost always deserted) beaches in the world. Between the Cay and your cottage are some of the best bonefishing flats in the Bahamas. Next to Moriah Harbour Cay is Man O’ War Cay, which also has miles of beautiful, deserted beaches, with great shelling, snorkeling, and swimming. All of these activities are a short kayak ride away (your own two person sit-on-top kayak is included with your cottage rental). You can kayak through awesome mangrove channels, fish for yellow tail snapper, and bone fish or just relax and enjoy views that very few others can see and appreciate. At the end of the day, relax on your screened porch overlooking the ocean and Moriah Harbour Cay, or have a swim in our 35 foot solar heated fresh-water pool, and plan your next day’s activities. Your onsite host, Valerie, has resided in Exuma since 1964. She can direct you to and assist you in: finding the best bone fish guide; getting a fishing license, finding the right restaurant and finding island entertainment that you will enjoy; renting a car or boat; exploring the island from Little Exuma to Barraterre; finding secluded beaches; going snorkeling, diving and deep-sea fishing; shopping for the essentials and gifts for the folks at home. She can advise you about all aspects of your vacation experience - travel to and from Exuma, what to bring, what to expect, and how to make the most of your visit to this special place.

We really enjoyed our vacation at Valerie’s. She is a wonderful host, the location was perfect for our family and the accommodations suited our family very well.
What a wonderful stay! We had everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The bedrooms were comfortable. The pool was very enjoyable for the days we wanted to just relax and great in the evening as well. The property is beautiful. Valerie works very hard to maintain everything. The private beach is just a 2 minute walk down the road and that was beautiful too. True island life. Thank goodness for the washing machine also.
Valerie, thank you so much for the incredible stay! We will definitely be back!!!
Our host Valerie is lovely! She made us feel right at home. The cottage is located in a tranquil area of the island, it was perfect for us. We enjoyed the pool after an adventurous day of kayaking! The private beach and dock were great to enjoy our morning coffee. We are looking forward to our next trip! You do need a car if you want to explore the island.

valerie was an excellent host the properties were in good condition was a great stay for us the only complaints we have is everything could use to be updated furniture tv coffee pot beds
The property is great for people who want to be away from town. Access to the ocean is a short walk and has a very nice small private beach. Note that there are relatively limited options for restaurants nearby. We used the kitchen in our rental to prepare most of our own meals.
Valerie was a great host. The pool was a perfect spot to relax at the end of the day. The location is great. A short kayak trip over to Moriah Harbor Cay with secluded beautiful beaches. Would love to stay again.
Very remote location as described. We loved the peacefulness and serenity of the surroundings. Enjoyed getting to know guests at some of the other cottages. Valerie was very helpful. No TV and limited Internet sometimes was an inconvenience but it allowed is more time to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings and the awesome beaches nearby. Relaxing by the pool was refreshing in the late afternoon after spending time at one of the nearby beaches. We will definitely be back in the future.
This is a great place to stay. Very quiet and relaxing. Valerie is great and knows the area very well. We will definitely stay there again in the near future.
Very clean and comfortable cottage well stocked with supplies. Wonderful, helpful owner on the premises. Easy access to water with kayaks included in cost. Nice pool.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful location. It was private and incredibly peaceful. We enjoyed kayaking almost every day, and we saw tons of wildlife. Valerie was by far the best host we have ever stayed with. We stayed for two weeks and we could have stayed for two more. If you are looking for privacy in paradise, this is your place.
Very affordable quaint clean stay with a pool! We saw a sea turtle right at the dock and more while kayaking. Valerie was very friendly & an accommodating host. Close to Tropic of Cancer beach & Blu Restaurant (our favorite places on the island.) We will be back.
The cottage was no frills but had everything we needed and was nestled in a quiet area surrounded by native vegetation and many types of birds. The screened in porch and pool was perfect for relaxing too. The pier is a few feet away with easy access for kayaking or watching the green sea turtles from there. Valerie is a top notch host and ensures that you have everything that you need. Thanks again Valerie - we had a great time!
A most wonderful and relaxing stay in Valerie’s cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean and lacked for nothing. Quiet, safe, and well located location. We enjoyed the amenities and used the kayaks to get over to Moriah Harbour Cay and the unpopulated beaches. Valerie made sure we lacked for nothing and was a wealth of local information. Best of all, her dogs were our daily visitors. Thanks for everything, we hope to return someday!
Our stay at Exuma Vacation Cottages was wonderful. Valerie is a terrific host who ensured we had all we needed to enjoy our stay. Our cottage was stocked with all the necessities and then some. We found the beach blankets and chairs provided to be very helpful as we went out to the beaches each day. The pool was excellent to come home to after a long day, and the dogs were also so welcoming each time we returned from a long day. Overall, a great stay with a wonderful host. We would definitely stay here again on a return visit.
We had a delightful time. Valerie was very conscientious and checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. Property has its own private beach and dock. The cottages were built in the 1960’s but have ac etc. we would return again
We had a delightful stay at this small cottage, which despite its age, provided all the necessities for a comfortable retreat. The location was absolutely perfect for our adventure-filled getaway, offering easy access to nearby beautiful, secluded beaches! While kayaking to the nearby Cays, we saw sting rays, turtles, and sharks! The host was incredibly accommodating and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. If you're looking for a cozy escape with basic necessities away from crowds and fantastic outdoor opportunities, this cottage is an excellent choice!
One of our best trips to Exuma ever! This was our first stay here and we have already planned a return in July. Nothing compares to the peace, tranquility and beauty of Moriah Harbour with it's stunning beaches and sandbars, crystal clear waters and sea life. We took full advantage of the kayaks available to guests. The cottages were clean and comfortable and the owner, Valerie, was a delight and very eager to make sure we had a nice stay. We also loved meeting her sweet dogs, Chica and Bridget. Looking forward to our return in July!!! Thank you Valerie:)
This cottage was the perfect place for us to spend our week relaxing. The dock on the property allowed us to keep our rental boat in the water and ready to go all week. The cottage was very clean and had everything that we needed. Valerie made sure that we always felt right at home and even took us to town to get groceries. Having great air conditioning and Wifi was very nice to come back to at the end of the day. Relaxing by the pool was always a nice way to spend time especially with all of the flowers and tropical plants that surround it. We had an amazing time and cant wait to come back soon.
My husband and I spent a week at this cottage. We agree that this was one of the most peaceful, restful vacations we have had, due in large part to the cottage and its owner, Valerie. It is outfitted with everything we need, but if we asked for anything Valerie very quickly took care of us. The cottage is small but very cosy, and we found the bed to be quite comfortable. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the beautiful screened in porch. We look forward to returning - hopefully next year. The pool is wonderful, and we enjoyed kayaking from the private beach. Thank you for everything, Valerie!
Valarie is the sweetest host! She checked on us every day to make sure we had what we needed. The cottage was cute and perfect for the two of us. We had everything we needed to cook meals. The power went off a few times which is common for the island, but the cottage stayed nice and cool the entire time. My husband who is always hot never complained and actually turned the AC up a few times because it was working so well! The location was great for seclusion and quiet! The kayaks were a wonderful amenity and we saw many turtles, fish, and a few sharks while touring Moriah harbor. There were 2 turtles who hung out in the private Bay Area every day which was so cool to see!! We didn’t use the pool but it looked beautiful and very clean. We were a short drive to little exuma and not too far from Georgetown. We would happily stay again!!!
Loved everything about the cottage and the hostess!
Valerie is absolutely the best host!!! What an amazing place to stay! My wife and I stayed at one of her cottages for a week and couldn't have been happier we picked this place. The location was perfect: half way between George Town for shopping/eating and the best remote beaches on Little Exuma, and easy kayak access to the Lazy River. The cottage itself was quaint and simple yet had everything we needed. The screened porch was our daily morning coffee spot with a peaceful million dollar view overlooking Moriah Harbor Cay National Park. One of the property highlights was the solar-heated in-ground pool. After a day of salty beaching, the pool was very refreshing. But the #1 most memorable thing about staying here was Valerie. We planned to arrive on a Sunday evening and Valerie let us know that the stores would be closed. She offered to pickup groceries for us ahead of time. We had fresh fruits, some breakfast items, wine, and beer waiting for us at the cottage upon our arrival. Throughout the week, Valerie periodically checked on us to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. She lent us a few sundry items, gave us great advice on places to visit (she's been a local since the 60's), and engaged in pleasant conversations. Sure you could pay more for a swankier vacation rental but you wouldn't get this level of charm and hospitality. My wife and I both felt like we were visiting our favorite aunt in paradise and can't wait to come back again!!
