I really loved the location. The beds were very comfy, lots of TV programs, clean! Lots of comfy pillows. Black out curtains. The negatives were: slower shower drain, extremely outdated sinks, paints, etc showed lack of repair with grout coming out, and other minor things. All the surrounding accomodations provided free breakfast. When checking in there were added charges posted at the desk which were not mentioned online. Fees was all it said. So...I paid about as much as I would have for an updated name brand place to sleep minus breakfast. The pool was definitely in need of cleaning. Landscaping and lobby were boring and not used well. But overall... I woukd stay here again.

Nice Weekend Stay
The hotel is older, but kept clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. Very close to the dragway, which was nice since we were there racing for the weekend. Found out that a lot of racers stay there. They made us room to park the hauler after the last night of racing, which other local hotels told us we couldn't do, that is how we ended up here. Enjoyed our stay and plan on staying again next time we're in the area!

The hosts were kind and responsive. The hotel itself seems to have deteriorated beyond the point of recovery. Pool was out of order and gross looking. Crumbling stairs. Our first room's door was wide open when we arrived near midnight and a big puddle of water on the bathroom floor. We switched to a second room where the AC barely cooled the room, but was very loud. We left as soon as we could.

Was charged $20.00 for early check-in, Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, door to room had a gap as i could see light coming through, and noise from people talking, and worst crickets and frogs were louder than my TV or air conditioner. Disappointed Visit
When I have to arrange travel to Hartsville, I always have a poolside room when my brother and I travel. I always bring my dog, and the guy checking me in would not give me my room because the policy is that no pets are allowed in a poolside room, except I have stayed in those rooms numerous times with my dog. The room booked on Hotels.com did not have a note on the room stating, No Pets Allowed. I have visited here many times and did not like the treatment I received.

Very disappointed and I've been here many times
I have stayed here many times and this is the first time I have had to stay on a different side of the building and the beds were absolutely horrible. We could not have a handicapped room because we were told it was damaged by a previous guest. I was also told the owner wants to raise the rate to $150/per night. There is no way I would pay that kind of money for this motel. I can go down the street to the Hampton Inn for $129/night and actually have a continental breakfast.

Burn holes, stains and bugs, oh my...
We walked into a lobby only cooled by a fan which should have given us an idea of what to expect in the room. There was a burn hole in the top sheet and a stain on the pillowcase. The sheets did appear to have been newly laundered. The rug had lots of stains but appeared to be clean. But, it was the not so dead bugs in the bathroom that really made me cringe. We decided this was not a place we wanted to sleep for the night and ended up staying with relatives.
