When I arrived at the property, they sprang an outrageous pet fee on me which was almost as much as the room itself. Staff was unwilling to work with me so I left. I found another property where the fee was minimal. Shame on you Marriott!"

"I mean, it’s Bakersfield. Lots of cool things in Bakersfield, but it’s not a city known for being a tourist Mecca. The hotel, though, has a really Interesting history and if you are heading through it’s a kind of different place to stay, way better than a typical cookie cutter chain. More like a big city old school vibe. Good bar. Food was excellent. "
