"This is a very nice hotel, very clean and beautiful setting. Getting to it is an absolute nightmare. One has to travel down almost 2 miles of dirt, gravel road up the side of a mountain, the GPS that I was using got completely confused and sent me down the wrong dirt road, someone from the hotel had to come to the town square to lead me cause it was impossible to find the place. Once there the hotel was great, staff from friendly and pleasant. If one is going to stay here make sure to rent a 4x4...

"Great location!"

Casa Din Bran-Inn Center

8/10 Good

"The Dracula room choosen was great with plenty of charging plugs, however although the bathroom was lovely there was a smell of sewage during our stay especially at night. The b.fast choices were a bit minimal with no buffet especially as no more than 1x cup of tea of coffee could be given without paying for them so the b.fast was for us the downfall of our stay. The free items were good but the hair conditioner was missing as sometimes shampoos type leave the hair very dry."

Conacul Ambient

10/10 Excellent

"Loved the rooms! They were very nice, clean and spacious! The showers had great pressure and plenty of hot water; however, do not count on the mounting for the showerhead (does not hold it). The food was very good. I had the trout one night and it was cooked to perfection (highly recommend). The goulash tasted very good; however, the portion was very small. I would advise a larger portion. The salads, pasta and desserts was amazing. The indoor pool is incredible and the bathrobes actually fit this big guy! From start to finish, this hotel is one of the best I have visited in Romania. Please visit and ENJOY!!"

Akasha Retreat

10/10 Excellent

"Rooms were fabulous clean, warm and beautiful. Staff couldn't do enough, free cake for friends birthday, so accommodating, friendly , never rude. The food was amazing , including the hot chocolate. The views from the hotel were spectacular and so peaceful. I would stay there again and again. There is a,hot tub and sauna which you can use till 10.30 at night , this is individually booked and was always available in slots. We didnt do yoga but met the teacher , she was lovely and others at the hotel said she was a really good teacher. Games cupboard available with lots if games and activities for all ages ie scrabble We saw other hotels in the area but know we had booked the best one , so so lucky. This would suit couples , friends and children IGNORE TERRIBLE REVIEW ITS NOT TRUE Thankyou so much SHELLY , KEV AND BERNADETTE"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Hârseni?

The best area to stay in Hârseni is generally within or very close to the main village centre, particularly near the Hârseni Monastery.

This area provides the most convenient access to local amenities and the region's main attraction. The village is compact, and hotels or guesthouses here typically offer a more authentic experience, often with views of the surrounding hills and farmland. You'll find a few local shops and eateries within easy walking distance.

For couples seeking a tranquil getaway, staying near the Hârseni Monastery offers a peaceful setting. The monastery itself is a significant landmark, and its surroundings are ideal for quiet strolls and enjoying the natural beauty of the Făgăraș Mountains foothills. Accommodation here often includes traditional guesthouses with a personal touch.

Families might find staying in the main village centre practical. It allows for easier access to any local facilities and open spaces for children to play.

When is the best time to go to Hârseni?

The best time to visit Hârseni depends on your preferred activities, but late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) offer the most pleasant weather for exploring.

Late spring brings warmer temperatures and blooming landscapes, making it ideal for hiking and enjoying the natural beauty of the Făgăraș Mountains. The days are longer, and the weather is generally settled, superb for outdoor adventures without the peak summer crowds.

Early autumn provides crisp, clear days with comfortable temperatures, and the foliage begins to change, offering stunning scenic views. This period is excellent for those who enjoy photography or prefer cooler weather for walking and exploring local villages.
