Relaxing stay with gorgeous view
It is clean, comfortable and relaxing with beautiful views. We were looking for peace and quiet. We found it here. The decks have plenty of space with comfortable furniture. Our favorite spot was next to the outdoor fireplace snuggled up with a blanket. Such a beautiful space. Our only suggestion is new mattress set for the bed. There is a 1x4 between the box spring and the mattress for support. Other than that, it was a lovely, well done space. The host was attentive, kind and thoughtful. Thank you for the stay.

Lovely and quiet visit
We enjoyed our weekend getaway. The location is very private. Ted and Bonnie were very friendly, giving us a thorough tour of the property when we checked in. Since this was a winter trip for us we loved having the private hot tub, and also got lots of use of the fireplace in the living room area. (My only suggestion would be having a DVD player, as we’d packed movies to watch over the weekend while we snuggled into our getaway and we weren’t able to.) The home is gorgeous, with top end furnishings. Thanks for a lovely weekend Ted & Bonnie!! We enjoyed it!!

Romantic get away
The property was more then we imagined. We enjoyed the sun set & outdoor fireplace each night. The view of the lake was spectacular. The space was well maintained. The drive to the house was beautiful along the lake. The attention to details was wonderful, from the robes ,to the coffee, snacks & body wash. Well done.

Best views on the lake
This is a truly beautiful property in a stunning location. The guest unit is fairly self-contained with direct access from the driveway. We chose the property because of the outdoor space and deck areas. This certainly did not dissapoint and in reality - much better than anticipated. Having a panoramic view from two decks gave us stunning views of the lake - in a way that the photographs just can't capture. It was a very quiet, peaceful setting to relax and unwind. Just perfect! The property was absolutely spotless - and Ted was the perfect host. 5 Stars *****

Incredible Views and Location!
Million $$ lake views from every window + both decks and hot tub. Caring, attentive owners promptly responded to questions and provided info re area sites, restaurants, etc. Private dock included sun-chairs and covered mooring. This is an exceptional property!

The view was beautiful.
Per Vrbo's advertising the property would be very private. We were disappointed to find the host family was living upstairs. We could hear the talk, chairs moved on the floor and smell their meals. While we made the best of the situation, it wasn't what Vrbo advertises. The property could have been cleaner as we found issues. We let Ted the property owner know. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you so much for the feedback! We missed the cleanliness item you mentioned, and therefore our standards. It is appropriate we refund to you the cleaning fee and will do so. Also, we designed the house initially for family and friends to have private spaces on a separate floor when they stayed with us. When we host guests, we will be more mindful in the kitchen when we are there and are preparing a meal. We must have been a little too enthusiastic! Sorry about that, and, thanks again for the opportunity to host you.

Exactly what we were looking for!
We wanted a property that was in the mountains but close enough to town with a spectacular view being a must but wanted amenities as well and fit our budget and we scored! This checked all the boxes! I had coffee out on the private deck in the morning right off our bedroom which was the perfect way to start the day for me. My other favorite thing was after hiking and exploring all day, we came back to wrap in a blanket on the other deck and enjoy the fireplace while watching the sunset and listening to the sounds of the lake and wildlife. The home is beautiful and exceeded our expectations! Ted and Bonnie were great hosts and Coeur d'Alene is nothing short of spectacular. We'd come back in a heartbeat!

Our hosts, Ted and Bonnie were warm and charming and their home is beautiful and inviting. The guest apartment is as lovely as it appears in the photos and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. A lovely place for a quiet get-away.

We didn’t end up staying because the space was not private from the main house that the renters were
Terrible! Not only were the owners in the shared space but we learned that you weren’t allowed to sit out on the decks at night because they didn’t want any noise in the neighborhood. The whole reason to stay there would be to enjoy the view with some music and wine. We left immediately after learning the space was open to the main house up the stairs. Almost impossible to find a place to stay 3000 miles from home, on Labor Day weekend, at midnight when we arrived. The owner then lied and told VRBO that we didn’t stay because my flight was cancelled. I shared all supporting documents and text messages with VRBO with the above details.

Great Time on the Lake!
Perfect location and accommodations for my vacation in CdA! The place was relaxing and quiet, views were spectacular, and the hosts just great people. The slip was perfect for my boat and the dock was really nice for swimming and getting some sun. I could definitely be back next summer. Thanks Ted and Bonnie!

Serene Location and Gorgeous views
My husband and I loved our stay on the lake. It was secluded, serene and private. The accommodations were top notch and the owners were easy to communicate with. Just 3o minutes from the CDA BIKE TRAIL in Harrison and 35 minutes to Couer d’Alene City Center. We biked, rented a pontoon boat for the day, went white water rafting in Montana, and golfed at the Famous Floating Green Golf Resort . Suggest making dinner reservations in advance during the busy summertime. The views were beautiful from the house. Especially loved reading our books on the cozy deck. Thanks!

Great property, beautiful private suite with everything you need. Sunsets on the dock were perfect. As others have noted, a 30 minute drive out of Coeur d’Alene—lovely in the spring-summer-fall, but could be dicey in the winter. The house is across the highway from the water with a bit more traffic than we were expecting, but all in all a great stay. Ted & Bonnie were great hosts—there if you needed something, but otherwise unobtrusive.

We had a little mis communication, but all has been resolved. I thought the vrbo was on the water, but it is across the street from the water. We have a boat and thought we would be able to moore at the house but that didn't work. Ted was quick to make everything good. I would love to go back but this time without our boat.

We had a great stay here for 4 nights! Driving instructions were very clear on the roads and driveways to take to get here. Owner met us promptly upon arrival and explained the parts of the property we could access thoroughly. It was so nice having 2 different outdoor decks to enjoy. And also the dock on the lake to enjoy also. The hot tub was a great option for us too as well as the indoor/outdoor gas fireplace. Views from here are wonderful, including sunset views. There are so many windows in the bathroom and bedroom it’s so nice to see the lake at all times. The kitchenette had the amenities we needed, including coffee and a few little snacks. Saw deer also while sitting on the deck. We would definitely recommend this property.

Of all the things we did in surrounding areas, starting the day drinking coffee in the window seat and coming back to sitting on the patio by the fire listening to the lake waves was my absolute favorite times!!! Unforgettable Lake Views
Communication with Ted was great. He greeted us, and walked us through all of the nuances of the property. The views and decks are outstanding. Lots of space to enjoy a glass of wine and bbq. There is a road between you and the lake but we found it very quiet and serene. I did not realize when booking that the private bedroom and deck were separated from the living space and hot tub deck by an open hallway to upstairs with owners rooms in between your areas. Listing does state “separate living area” so not a fault of the owners. They were very respectful of our privacy and never came down when we were there, so we did not find it an issue. The drive is 30-35 minutes down a windy road from downtown C’oeur D’Alene. The only negative we found was the wifi. Our data worked in the location so we were okay, but if we had to work or stream on the wifi it would have been a major problem for us. All the appliances, bbq, dishes, etc were nice and in good working order. Overall we had a great time.

This was a great place. From the heated toilet seats to the Jacuzzi overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene it was just beautiful. The host was very friendly and helpful. It’s a little far out of the way which can be good and bad. All in all it was a great place

Furniture is uncomfortable. BBQ needs work. Be prepared for lots of stairs. 17 miles of winding paved road. Undeveloped dirt path down steep hill to dock. Beautiful view. Fairly quiet above road. Intermittent wifi. Could be sketchy access in the snow. I would stay again.

OUTSTANDING TIME!
Great location for this high end property. Very nice, well maintained, and comfortable TV room, Bedroom, and Bath. We spent a lot of time on the balcony BBQing, drinking wine, and watching the eagles and osprey fish in the waters edge right in front of us. Ted is a gracious host and a wealth of knowledge about the area. We shall return.

Top Notch Property
The home is comfortable with high quality finishes, beautiful views of the lake and mountains from every spot in the house, nights were so peaceful, just enough room for the two of us to relax. The drive into both Harrison and Couer d'Alene were a little longer than I'd prefer, but the scenic ride was worth it. Ted and Bonnie were always a text away and very gracious. We highly appreciated Ted's assistance the morning we were leaving and our car wouldn't start. Thank God he had jumper cables in the garage. We highly recommend this gorgeous property!!

Ted and Bonnie have created the ultimate vacation site. The space is intimately designed and every view looks over the lake. Use of the boat dock was a god-send since we brought our boat. There isn't a better place to stay in all of Coure d'Alene - not even the resort. We can't wait to go back next year!!

Great relaxing getaway!
This is a very beautiful property, different from most rentals as you can tell right away the owners built everything for themselves, with best quality materials and interesting - and I'm sure full of memories - art. The decks are wonderful, the decorations beautiful, the owners are excellent at communicating - always there if you need them but respect your privacy. Couple of smaller things: the bed is quite hard, I wish we brought our silicone mattress topper, so if you like a softer bed, keep this in mind. The little trail that takes you to the dock is indeed primitive - but you can also drive to the dock. We enjoyed the dock a lot! The water is warm and clear, perfect for swimming and any water sports, and oh the privacy. We would love to be back at this unique place.

Peaceful get-away
My best friend and I happened upon this property while searching for a place to stay for Ironman. Having stayed in downtown CDA on a prior trip, I wanted us to feel like we were having more of a vacation instead of racing! Ted and Bonnie's house is absolutely breathtaking. They made us feel right at home, the rental was immaculate, and honestly the best part of the whole stay was the two decks that we tried to spend most of our time on! The kitchenette also made life a lot easier for two time-strapped athletes to have some food around instead of racing back to town for every meal. I would highly recommend this property for anyone wishing to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the lake. Next time, we intend on having more relaxation time and NOT racing :). Beautiful Lake Getaway!
We loved our stay at this property! It was beautiful! The home and our room overlooked the lake. Ted greeted us upon arrival and showed us around. He was very kind. There is a master bed/bath with a private walk out deck. In addition to that, there is a room for TV/relaxing and a second deck overlooking the lake with a hot tub. We enjoyed using the hot tub, listening to the mountain sounds and enjoying the peace. The property is about 30 minutes from downtown Coeur d'Alene. The drive back and forth was a scenic drive along the lake. We really enjoyed that. We would highly recommend this property and would visit again in the future!
