"I will never stay here again. There were webs on the ceiling. The air conditioner was loud and rattled the whole time. The people on the floor above us were banging things and stomping back and forth. They were loud at midnight and again at 6:30 am. On top of all of this, I killed a bug that was crawling on the floor. I reported this to the guy at the front desk before leaving, and I didn't get even so much as an apology."
"The walls are thin and so are the floors. I think I heard the guy upstairs snoring all night, but it was muted and sounded like my big dog, so it was actually pretty soothing. Rooms are pretty sparse with bare wood floors. You could add washable room size 8x10 rugs and really step it up for not much money. Breakfast buffet was pretty sparse and you could add a few more tables. "
Secluded Cabin on the Muskegon River, 40 Acres of Private Land, ORV Trail Access
10/10 Excellent
"Overall great place to get away. Very private and off the beaten path. Unfortunately with the water level high fishing was difficult but am going to try it again when the water levels reside. Cabin is clean and had everything you need. Highly recommend. Thanks again. Looking forward to staying again soon."
"We were so wowed by the property! The room was lovely and clean. We weren’t able to eat at the restaurant but want to come back for a couple days and try it and the spa treatments. The staff was helpful and welcoming. Five star rating across the board!"
"Parking was great, room was very spacious and clean, pool was a little dirty clumps of hair floating. But otherwise staff was awesome and bar prices were reasonable."
Only 200 feet from Lake. Fire Pit,Kayaks & Bikes included! Longer Stay Discounts
8/10 Good
"Great communication with owners. Close to lake. Property was up for sale, but we were not informed of that. There was a separate lockbox for the realtor and we were worried they’d have a showing during our stay. Cute decor; nicely decorated. It could’ve been cleaned better; everything was quite dusty. Overall nice place would just recommend a better cleaning."
"This cabin is the most adorable and eclectic mash-up of Jimmy Buffet-meets-Southwest decor! Parking was a breeze, the fridge was literally spotless, and the house rules and check-out instructions were clearly posted. It’s about a 7-minute to town. The spacious deck lent itself to incredible views of the lake and we enjoyed various wildlife sightings. Some things to note that weren’t dealbreakers for us but were surprising; The king bedroom doesn’t have a door, per se, but it does give you the option to wake up to a pretty awesome view - though we’d highly advise you wear pajamas to bed. Two smaller beds are located in what look like they used to be closets; one in the queen bedroom and another in its own small, enclosed space off the common area. Heads up: our maps app changed the speed limit of the road the cabin is on every single time we came and went. Definitely check out Up North Coffee and Trail’s End restaurant!"
