Cabs are really cheap so we were able to use them to get to the shopping area etc. Nearby tho there is very little but a short but steep walk will get you to some local stuff. Good restaurant across street (ask front desk) but due to road barriers you have to walk pretty far and back to get to it or walk under a sketchy path under the major road. Room was good and spacious, staff was helpful and it is walkable to train station with luggage but takes some per-planning to avoid stairs. International terminal tip! We were warned by airport staff :) to take the free large shuttle bus from the really old international terminal to the domestic terminal to avoid "taxi" scams who hassle you as you emerge and they ask (extort) for more money halfway. There we had a good ride with a friendly driver in a decent city cab.
