Sea Salt Cottage - 180-degree Views of the Olympic Mountain Range and Hood Canal

Sea Salt Cottage offers spectacular views of the beach and the Olympic National Park from this cozy cottage on the bluff above the waters of Hood Canal. The view is toward the mountains to the west, so the afternoon sun warms the yard and the sunsets are the show of the day. The beach is a short walk down the staircase / trail that ends at the beach on Hood Canal. Walk the beach, search for shells, fish, crab, dig for clams, or simply enjoy the views. Come have fun!

Sea Salt Cottage is a great starting point for day trips to Kingston, Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island, and Port Gamble. If you want to head further out, Port Townsend and the Olympic National Park await.

What a beautiful cottage with everything one could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. We had fun exploring the backyard and beach at the house, the nearby nature preserve, and were close enough to go on a whale watching adventure out of Port Townsend.

This is one of the best properties we've ever stayed at. It was extremely clean, very well decorated, and had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. Everything about this location is 5 stars. Obviously, you come for the views, but the owners go above and beyond to make your stay special and relaxing. Beautiful beach cottage

This is our second stay at this house. We loved it so much last year that we immediately booked for this year and are already booked for next year. The views are incredible and the house if perfect for our family. It is well-stocked for our cooking needs, the beds are comfy and the yard is great for hanging out.

Perfect beach house

We’ve been coming to Hansville for 16 years and this is one of the best houses we’ve stayed at. It’s beautiful, comfortable and has an outstanding view. We cook at the house, and this kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. I can’t wait to come back next year!

The view was stunning. We sat at the table looking out and talked for hours. The house was immaculate, well designed and perfect for our needs. We were in and out visiting local attractions. If the buoys on the mailbox were a brighter color, would be easier to see from the road. We drove past the driveway every time.

August Paradise

I wish this place was closer to MI. Just what we needed after a non-stop adventure at Olympic National Park. This place had amazing views and we even got a chance to see a sub cruising the canal. The decor was incredible. We almost didn’t wanted yes anything since everything was so nice. Can’t wait return when we make it back in the area.

A most lovely place to stay

We enjoyed everything single thing about our stay at Sea Salt Cottage. One of the most welcoming and well appointed vacation rentals I’ve ever experienced. It’s plainly obvious how seriously Adrienne takes the hospitality aspect of her property management, seeming to anticipate all wants and needs. The view of the water and mountains from the big dining table is fantastic and yard w fire pit a perfect place to hang out at night. Loved walking out the gate onto the beach, lots of wildlife. This beach house was a dream. Gorgeous location, perfect for our rest and relaxation. All the nice touches by Adrienne, made us feel like cherished family that they had opened their house to, instead of strangers! Highlight was watching a submarine go by. Amazing Weekend at Sea Salt Cottage

Our family of 5 - 3 kids ages 17, 14, & 11 enjoyed our stay at Sea Salt Cottage. Our two youngest enjoyed playing on the beach and clamming at low tide. We used a nearby access point of the Kitsap Peninsula National Water Trail to put in our skiff to do some crabbing. We also enjoyed kayaking at midnight in nearby Port Gamble Bay to see the bioluminescent algae. This quaint cottage was perfect for some downtime as a family. We will certainly be back.
