"Without doubt this is the most luxurious experience I've ever had. My husband and I had two wonderful nights at Rippinvale Retreat in Hanmer Springs. From our arrival when there was home made baking, to wine and canapés at 6pm to chocolates on our pillow at night, our hosts Helen and John, couldn't have made us feel more welcome. "Wonderful quiet space "

"The motel was well maintained, simple and comfortable motel. The lady in the reception was very helpful and friendly, and she even let us check in a little bit earlier. The location of the motel is great, a short walking distance to the thermal pools and the motel even offered us two towels to take to the pools."

"It is marketed as a five star which it isn't as the furniture is dated the carpets in need of cleaning or replacing and the bookingsite did not show there were pets on the premises"

"The Owner was very obliging, as due to CHC being booked out & a midnight flight arrival, we knew if would be a 3am arrival. He kindly left the unit unlocked for us. While the place is showing it's age & use, it was clean & tidy, the shower was great, the sheets were clean & the beds comfy. We slept well. Would I use Larchwood Motels again? Without hesitation. It's value for money indeed. I have to say, I enjoyed teh chat with the owner teh next morning. A cheerful & kind man."
