Arrived at this beautiful hotel and greeted by Anna one of the brilliant members of staff and as we were early we enjoyed a drink and a lovely meal before being shown to our room. The whole place has a pleasant warming atmosphere and wonderful choice of drinks and superb food. Service is excellent and everyone is so happy. We came to Chepstow to visit the castle and stayed one night here. Never stopped raining for a minute so we decided to enjoy the food and drink on offer and were not disappointed. You could watch the football od sit at the bar, however we decided to sit in a cosy room where I had chilli and my good lady had jacket potato. Food here is excellent and we did go for a wonder through town. Chepstow has a lot of restaurants and pubs??? They were all great but we definitely hit the jackpot in the Beaufort hotel. The room was just what we wanted and the hotel is not new, it’s a wonderful place full of characters and charm. Don’t come with expectations just arrive and let the place envelop you and you will have a great time just as we have. Thank you to all the team especially Anna and see you all soon we will return

The hotel is well located and the rooms were compact but comfy. Staff were very helpful. What gave the 3 out of 5 stars is that the windows are only single glazed - at least at the back of the hotel. There was a hotel function going on in the rear courtyard (receptionist said it would be until 12pm) and even with the window closed and curtains pulled, it was so loud I had no chance of sleep and had an early start the following day. I asked to move rooms but as the hotel was fully booked the best the hotel would offer was a 10% refund.
