    ★☆ NOTES ☆★

PETS: We love our Pets and are Pet friendly. We do have a pet fee so if you did not add your pet to the registration please revise and add your pet. We prefer you don`t leave your pet unattended in the cabin but if they are trained and won`t cause damage you can use your judgement. A maximum of three pets is permitted. The Pet fee is $120 for the first pet and $90 for the second pet and $60 for the third pet. If you bring 2 or 3 pets, let us know as Airbnb`s system only allows us to charge for one pet automatically so we will have to send a request to pay those fees. Please note that pets are not allowed on furniture or beds. Additional cleaning fees will be imposed if pets have been allowed on furniture or beds. Pick up after your pet`s waste both inside and out. We do supply a water and food dog bowl. BEFORE you leave - Please sweep up any pet hair and dispose of waste in trash. There is a broom and dustpan near the fridge by the main entry door. Cleaning fee of $300 will be charged for any pet waste left in the cabin or on the property.

We are not located in the area but are always just an Airbnb message, text or phone call away from 7am Eastern to 10pm Eastern daily.
HERE ARE THE HOUSE RULES AND GUIDELINES:

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Check-ins are any time after 4:00 pm, and Check-outs are by 11:00 am.

EARLY CHECK INS: I understand that early check-ins can be convenient, allowing you to settle in sooner and make the most of your time in our beautiful cabin. However, please kindly note that early check-ins are subject to the availability of my cleaning team and the time required to prepare the cabin to meet our high standards of cleanliness and comfort for every guest.

While we can`t promise an early check-in at this moment, we will make every effort to let you know if an early check-in is possible. You don`t have to ask. We will automatically keep you informed about the possibility of an early check-in on the day of your check-in date. We assume you prefer an early check-in, SO THERE IS NO NEED TO REQUEST ONE as we will automatically let you know on the day you check in.

If you are driving a long distance and are hoping to check in early, we would suggest planning to arrive in the area early enough that once the cabin is ready, we can let you know that you are close enough to take advantage of the early check-in. You could do some grocery shopping or grab some lunch while waiting for us to let you know.

LATE CHECK OUTS: We also understand the desire for a late check-out, providing you with some extra time to relax and enjoy our lovely cabin. We always strive to accommodate the guests` preferences whenever possible.

The ability to extend a late checkout is dependent on whether a guest is checking in on the same day that you are checking out. If a guest is checking in later that day, then we need to give our cleaner adequate time to get the cabin cleaned and prepared. We recommend checking in with us the day before your reservation ends to see if a late checkout is possible.

Deadline: Please message us by 10:00 PM the night before. After that, our cleaners may be offline and we can’t confirm availability.
    • Morning-of requests can’t be accommodated. It’s too late to adjust schedules on the day of checkout.
    • Approval depends on our cleaning team and incoming reservations. If you don’t receive written confirmation from us, your original checkout time still applies.

CELL PHONE SERVICE: If you are looking to get away and be secluded, then you are in the right place. The cabin is remote, and as such, there is very spotty cell phone service and sometimes not existing depending on your carrier at the cabin and the surrounding area. If you are leaving the cabin to go somewhere, make sure to get your GPS on course using the WIFI at the cabin before leaving.

PARKING: The cabin is located on a quiet, private dead-end road shared with just one neighboring home. Our neighbors are very friendly and have lived here for over 20 years. The area is peaceful, secluded, and has virtually no traffic. The driveway is narrow, with trees on both sides, and conditions can vary by season (bumps, rocks, mud, or ice). As long as you take it slow, you’ll be completely fine — and hey, this is where you get to put those driving skills to the test 😉Once you reach the end of the road, please do a turn-around there if conditions allow.

    Winter driving note:
If there is snow or ice, turning around at the end of the road may be difficult. In that case, you may need to carefully back out — trees are on the left, and the neighbor’s parked vehicle may be on the right. Take your time.

Parking & Walking to the Cabin:
The private road and driveway can be slippery, especially in winter. Please use caution — it’s one of those places where it feels like the ground has “eyes everywhere.”

From the parking area, you’ll walk slightly uphill to the cabin. This is upstate New York and snow is common; we do our best to clear the pathway, but if it freezes, it can become slick. Proper footwear and slow steps are strongly recommended.

SAUNA: How to Use the Barrel Sauna
    1. Turn on the Heater
    - Set the thermostat (left dial) to your preferred temperature. The sauna heats to 175°-185°F.
    - Use the timer (right dial) to start heating immediately or delay the start.
    - For immediate use: Turn past `1` or `2,` then turn back to the first loud `clunk` (this starts a 1-hour heating cycle).
    - For delayed heating: Set the timer to numbers 1-8 (hours) for a scheduled start.

    2. Heating Time
    - The sauna takes 45-60 minutes to reach the desired temperature.
    - The heater automatically turns off after 1 hour—restart if needed.

    3. Using Steam
    - You may pour a ladle of water onto the stones to create steam.
    - Do not overpour—excess water will drip from the heater. Wipe any spills after use.
