Property is clean and right on the water. Beautiful views and the owner was super nice. Has an old cottage feel to it. Only thing I would warn are the steps to the 2nd floor are steep, so if you have anyone with issues going up or down stairs well I’d suggest having them sleep in the room on the first floor. ##### Ashley B. Beautiful view of Keuka Lake and close to all the wineries and eating spots. Keith was a great host, he checked in on us day one to ensure all was well, and made sure we had everything we needed. Cozy feel, smaller rooms, but comfortable. Some areas shorter ceiling, if you are very tall. Lots of stuff in the cabinets for things you would need. An amazing view! Keith was awesome. He helped us with whatever we needed. Was there at the property when we arrived to help place our boat trailer. The cottage is located on the east side of the lake, just at the Bluff - so you could see beautiful sunsets, some of each sunrise, but the views of mountains and the lake water just made the entire stay! Incredible!! Keith was always available if we had any questions and he gave us some good recommendations. The house could use a bit of updating but the location makes up for everything. The upstairs balcony and dock are where we spent a majority of our time soaking up the views. Close enough to the Switz that we could sit outside and hear the live music each night without having to deal with Labor Day crowds. Multiple breweries, wineries and shops in the area. Great place to bring your pups. There are tons of walking trails nearby as well as a pretty large dog park 8 minutes down the road. Our dogs love water but won’t jump directly off a dock. The shoreline was perfect for them to wade in the water and splash around. ##### Emma B. So fun! A couple of nights we had a very full house (10! including a toddler & 2 babies), but were gone a lot during the day, so it worked out fine. If you plan or need to stay home a lot during your visit, I agree with Keith that 7 is pretty much max. The best part was taking our morning coffee to the dock, watching the sun rise, the ducks swim, the osprey and herons fish. Keith is an awesome, attentive host! ##### Cheryl K. The camp was very cozy and well equipped, having two fridges was very convenient. We had nine people total so all bedrooms were used but it never felt overcrowded. We spent mornings on the upper patio; and when we couldn’t have a fire at night, we sat on the lower covered patio. The location is great, the private road was nice for taking our toddler and dog for walks without worrying about any traffic. We walked and even kayaked to the Switz a few times. Wineries, breweries, and Eggleston Glen were just a short drive away. Keith was always available, very attentive, and quick to answer our questions. We really enjoyed our stay. ##### Ryan M. The house has everything you could need, plenty of comfy seating, and a fun, nostalgic atmosphere. Outside, there is a beautiful view of Keuka lake, and a really nice, long dock to enjoy it from. We weren’t there during swimming season, but if we would have been, there is also a ladder near the end of the dock for entering and exiting the lake. There is some green space across from the house (the road the house sits on is only traveled on by residents, so actually more like being on a lane than a road) for the dogs. Location is great. Right off a main route where wineries and restaurants are located. Keith is a personable, accommodating host who has a lot of knowledge about the area and it’s history. Low flow shower heads are awful. Comfortable bed on main floor IN kitchen eating area. 3 very small upper bedrooms. Beautiful large deck. Lots of duct tape tho. Stairs can be tough. NO room at all to sit by fire pit. 1/2 in the lake! Served the purpose but under par for the price. Needs fixing up and remodel. Good for guys fishing weekend. ##### carla b. And not lacking in the way of amenities, location, views, close by restaurants and wineries. We have stayed at several places on Keuka and find that this place has it all. We loved the beautiful doc, swim in the pristine waters, enjoy a family campfire, walked the dog in the nearby woods. Neighbors are very friendly. If you prefer to sit around all day, there are hotels that may serve you better. The cottage was very clean and functional upon our arrival, and the dock chairs, swing set, and picnic tables were all freshly painted showing the care the owner has for the property. Even the several walkways around were freshly power sprayed. We had lots of guests over and they enjoyed the large dock for boating and fishing. There was also plenty of parking, which was always such a problem at other places we have stayed. The host, Keit, is an incredible resource to use for information and that was a big plus. We highly recommend this special rustic cottage, and we will be going back for sure to stay two- or three-weeks next summer. ##### diane E b.
