Hamburg Gaming at the Fairgrounds

Overall the facility looks magnificent from the exterior with a rich history but don’t let that fool you. This place is cutting corners in all that they do and doing everything on the cheap with zero intention for quality. The interior is dated and the carpets have a bad smell. The restaurant and bar was so bad it felt like we were on a practical joke TV show. The food was awful and the service even worse. Half an hour for someone to come to the table; half an hour plus a reminder to get drinks; the food was all microwaved (check out the hilarious chicken tenders). Ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and they forgot the chicken. Had to ask for silverware twice before received. Ordered the steak frites and an inedible grey tinged raw in the middle steak arrived. We didnt eat it. I could go on and on. It was an absolute joke and worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The drinks from the bar are weak and they’re cutting corners (i.e the old fashioned drink on the menu advertises Luxardo cherries- instead a cheap maraschino cherry was in the drink). The entrance at the lower level to get your luggage up to your room is really bad with a terrible oily smell and torn carpets. The employees are nice enough but this property needs to spend some money on upgrading their interior, hiring a staff in their bar and restaurant that knows what they’re doing and how to cook.
