A steep pathway rises behind the cabin, and care must be taken, but the view from above across to the river is well worth the climb. A must on the list to visit is the historic market town of Hexham, which boasts a stunning abbey, the oldest gaol in the country, and an abundance of eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs. Continue on to the beautiful Roman town of Corbridge, and meander round its boutique shops, art galleries and antique shops, or stop for a coffee after taking a stroll along the river. The Newcastle/Carlisle railway line, runs in front of the cabin. You can catch a train from nearby Bardon Mill station with a stopping service in each direction every 2 hours. The A69 is within easy reach giving easy opportunities to explore this historic region and onwards to Scotland by car. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Excellent stay for a week.

Excellent stay for a week. Cabin was well equipped and very clean, as was the surrounding grounds and hottub. We stayed here and used it as a great hub for trips to Hadrians wall, Hexham, Durham and Carslile. So many great places to explore and visit from this central location. The hosts are very approachable and made sure the stay was enjoyable. The Cabin is absolutely beautiful inside and out, with great attention to detail on the decor/theme.
