Initial impression was of a shabby flop house. This impression was confirmed as the evening progressed ... louts yelling, sitting outside smoking at 3am, doors banging etc.
Fire alarm went off at 3:40am, smelled like someone had burnt their toast.
So we up and left at 4:15am....

"The Skipton Hotel was disappointing, it's listed as a 4 star but is closer to a 2 star. The breakfast is the best part and the beds were comfortable, those were the positives. The decor is tired and dirty - carpets need cleaning and everything just looked like it is due for refurbishment our room ..."

"When we arrived at the hotel the electricity was off and we where told that they had no way of contacting us to let us know We where not offered alternative accommodation but was given a torch to have in our room There was cobwebs all over the ceiling Rust around the bath taps Hole in carpet Picture ..."
