Whether it's a romantic weekend away or a break with the kids the Cottage is set in 60 acres of stunning bushland and offers you that secluded getaway in the Grampians. As you enter this cottage you can feel the sense of history derived from all salvaged and saved building materials such as the leadlight windows from an old homestead and restored to feature either side of the fireplace. Even the dining table and chairs originate from a Methodist Church built in 1865, and the main pole supporting the loft was saved from the Seppelts Winery, Great Western. Wildlife abounds and the stars are bright in this dark sky location. A large open fireplace stocked with wood promises a comfortable evening by the fire side. Our hosts were welcoming and very supportive of our guests when they had an unexpected incident during their trip. We really appreciated their hospitality. No special welcoming, adequate amenities. given there was a coffee plunger, I would have liked at least one serving. Hand towels in bathroom and kitchen paper(recycled), would have been appreciated. The cottages are spaced out sufficiently enough so that you feel like you're the only ones on the property, very private.
