"Highly recommend this Historic Cottage . Near town (walking distance) and serene. Beautiful gardens compliment this house . Everything we needed was there. Beds comfortable, warm, it has a fireplace but we didnt use it. Functional kitchen , and nice relaxing lounge area. So much History in this cottage and an EX Premier of the state owned it at one point . Plenty to see in the town , grab the Burra Pass, its well worth it. Very clean and neat place . "

"Check-in off site and badly sign posted. Shower poorly designed resulting in very wet floor. Noisy. Great location Rooms good and well equipped. "

"We stayed in the Pay Office cottage and had a wonderful time. The kitchen was generously stocked so we had what we needed to start our days well. The complimentary wine let us finish the day just as well. The location was very convenient for exploring the surrounding wineries. We would definitely stay again. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no wi-fi available and cell phone coverage is spotty."

"Fantastic accomodation! Well refurbished property with great amenities, and some great extras to make our stay wonderful. Really loved the local produce and all the little extras that make a short stay so easy! "

"Mould in kettle and in the fridge in the “Lounge”. Fridge turned off with milk with a expiry date of November 2025 (3) The ladies shared toilet and floor were disgustingly filthy. Bed sheets were clean but had come wrinkled like they had been sitting in the bottom of a washing basket for a week. Absolutely no amenities in room. Air conditioner above your head which did not work and was so noisy. Have never written a bad review and have stayed in many budget accommodation, but never anything like this!! $100 could be spent better. Only positive was that the snitzel down in the restaurant was excellent."

"This property was exceptionally clean including all crockery and cutlery. It had the charm of a heritage building combined with the basic elements to make our stay a pleasant one. One bathroom with toilet within may be a consideration for some. The grounds are lovely with a great bbq entertaining area that would be excellent in the warmer months. "
