  • Private and separate from the main house, guest studio in lovely Hakalau village community. This is an adorable and private room at the back of our detached garage. Easy access and parking, comfortable queen bed, desk space, private bath, spacious shower, HD Smart TV, cable, high speed WiFi and kitchenette. Lush landscaping and bistro garden area.
    A short walk from the house is a spectacular rainforest hike down to the shoreline. Surfing, ziplining, waterfalls, and much more within a 15 minute drive from the house.

Beautiful Stay

Every thing was perfekt. When we arrived Carla was very friendly. The little condo is perfect for exploring the east coast of Big Island. We had a beautiful stay.

Perfect Stay

This Vrbo is perfect. The owners are super friendly and responsive to any questions you may have. They went above and beyond! We were on the island for a week and this is the perfect place to come home to and rest.

Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the clean bathroom. Great shower with never ending hot water.The oversized mini refrigerator was great to have keep my bag of ice for 2 day as I we used it in our cooler during the day and refreshed it in the freezer when we returned. Kept food & drinks chilled. Hot coffee pot was well used for making hot coffee and tea.Room could use a few more hooks to hand clothes and towel bars. Bed was too soft. Would prefer a firmer mattress

Perfectly isolated

Beautiful place and super quiet. Im definitely coming back. The only down side its that there is no AC and it gets pretty hot during the day, besides that this place its awesome.

Wonderful studio, gracious host.

The studio was well kept, lush landscaping, a place to rest and plan for relaxing and enjoyable day trips. The nearby hike in a natural rainforest to the beach had magnificent plants and flowers and streams leading to the ocean.

A sanctuary

The room was clean and very cute. The host was very responsive and helpful and made me feel welcome. This place was better than I expected and featured a beautiful bathroom and garden area that was like a little sanctuary. Highly recommend.

Nice little place

We didn’t spend too much time in the unit—mostly used it as a home base and place to sleep, but it was excellent for our purpose. Clean and well stocked, and the directions/instructions were clear. Nice area, lots of hiking and things to see nearby (short drives). The beach is harder to get to than a quick glance at the map might indicate, but it’s a nice walk. Check out Mr Ed’s Bakery

Quiet neighborhood Studio

Wonderful location away from the main towns but easily accessible to main highways that get to everywhere. Clean, quiet. Small so basically for either one person or a couple who likes to be close. It was just what we needed. A quiet place to go to after an active day of exploring the island. Owner very responsive to questions.

East Coast lodging

Everything was very modern and clean. It would be nice if there was a kitchen sink or basin in which to wash our dishes. A simple coffee machine would work better than a Keurig machine as there was only one pod per day and we enjoy a few cups of coffee throughout the day. A few extra utensils would also be handy as we like to cook our meals.
