Local landowner Eirik Bjodaskalle, (circa 950 A.D.), is said to have had his large farm here. Eirik Bjodaskalle was the father of Queen Astrid, mother of the famous Viking King Olaf Tryggvason (born 968, king of Norway from 995 to 1000) who was born nearby. I especially loved this one which was ranked as the country's most beautiful in a newspaper. And right they were. Here you can wander and do your beach activities, what ever they might be, alone for hours upon hours without being bothered.
