Fall weekend away
We took a little getaway to the driftless area. What a beautiful surprise for us here! So much history and beautiful scenery. Fun and friendly people. We made many stops at all the shops and lookouts and restaurants too.

The view over the Mississippi was fantastic! Kyle the owner met us outside our room when we checked in and was a great guy. He built a fire in the fire pit for us and we had a great time getting to know him.

Our second time staying here, and despite us bringing nightly thunderstorms with us, it is a BEAUTIFUL area. The hotel is very well kept. Definitely a return visit kind of place!!!

Very nice small town getaway
This place is amazing if you like beautiful views. We are already planning our next weekend getaway to stay a few days. We got the king suite and it didn't disappoint.

Loved the view over the river. The fire pit was nice and the picnic table was nice to set at. I Loved hearing the birds. The rabbit just sat and looked at us. We will be back if ever back that way. Would love to stay there again

The whole experience was fantastic! Great communication with Kyle! The motel was very clean and comfortable. The view was amazing. I highly recommend Eagle View Motel. We will be returning to this motel for another visit.

Truly awesome views. Nice and quiet area. Yes I even checked with a black light first thing when we got there and I vouch the room was clean. Owner was a super guy, gave us a free room upgrade as well. Definitely will be coming back.

The view is unreal, it overlooks the Mississippi river and and at this time of the year the leaves were very beautiful. Very clean place and is well kept up. There is everything you would ever need including a grill, fireplace. It sits right on top of a bluff and it's beautiful.

First, the view was fantastic! It took our breath away. The property was excellently landscaped and decorated, which made it very homey and inviting. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It was well stocked with everything one needs, except perhaps a source for ice. The TV was excellent as was the Wi-Fi. There is a wonderful little “backyard” with a barbecue and fire pit as well as ample comfortable seating. It was a relaxing place to enjoy the view. Did I mention the view? It was amazing. Also, the bird feeders are a nice touch. The nuthatches were very active. The owner, Kyle, even stopped by to make sure we all were comfortable and to make sure we knew about the firewood available. He stayed and chatted by the fire for a while. Very homelike. The only negative to us was the road noise. Highway 52 is right below the property and it is at times pretty loud. On the other hand it certainly was convenient to have such easy access to the main highway and Guttenberg was a short drive away. On that topic, Guttenberg is a beautiful little town with plenty of amenities. P.S. bring some bug spray and your binoculars.

Wonderful view, deck and trees with bird activity, including warblers in the trees around the property. Bird feeders around the property. Relaxing morning drinking coffee on the deck watching and listening to the birds.

Eagle. View is wonderful. Situated high on a bluff above the Mississippi River, it has an amazing view and the bird feeders are always full. Clean, well kept motel. I would recommend to anyone.

I absolutely loved the view; the photos don’t do the scenery justice. The room was very clean & the host responsive. There’s a lot of nice outdoor seating along with a fire pit and grill. The landscaping is another big plus. The room was also well stocked. An unexpected bonus: we actually got to see a group of eagles soaring over the river!

Property owner was friendly. Check in was easy. Absolutely breathtaking view of the Mississippi River. Our room was fresh - comfortable bed, clean, everything looked good. There is a large common outdoor area to sit, relax, and watch the boat traffic on the river. This is a special property. No Wi-Fi. Didn’t matter. Can’t put enough stars on this review for being in such a spectacular location.

Eagle View - THE place to stay in Guttenberg!

I loved the no-contact check-in and I didn’t have to worry about a key card that could discharge! I called for suggestions to restaurants and I was provided the name of a fabulous breakfast place and also one for dinner. The parking lot has been recently re-paved and the bed seemed new and was very comfortable. Overall, this is a very charming retreat. I am planning to return in the fall as I am sure the view of all the trees will be spectacular.

There was no office check in, only by phone. There was no soap, no ice machine or pop machine.. The "patio" was about 12 foot from the bottom rooms and from there a severe drop off. The view of the river was green back water and as we had an emergency, we had to leave hoping I would get a refund. It sounded nice online but would have been disappointing had we stayed.

We regret you have such a negative view of our property. If there was no soap in the room, that was an oversight on our part and we would’ve been happy to quickly provide that to you and we known. Clean no frills place
Definitely not a cookie cutter chain. Small, quaint, no frills place. Clean, comfortable room well appointed. Great view. No check-in office staff onsite, keycode provided to access room. Only drawback for me was short flight of stairs to get to room. I'd stay there again.
