Loved this hotel. Located just a short drive (or Uber) outside of the city, it's a nice, clean, fairly modern space. Staff could not have been nicer or friendlier, breakfast - which was included for us - was great and plenty. Parking is key, and convenient for us to get out to sightsee and explore the city, but also for a quick getaway to the airport early in the morning. Spa amenities are lovely, and overall the stay was excellent. We didn't eat at Hekla, but right downstairs and has good ratings. Food looked good as we were going by, and customers seemed to be enjoying it.

The apartment was amazing, clean, had loads of space for my husband and I and our three kids. The breakfast we had added on, which included fresh bread daily, yogurts, fruit, cheese etc was fantastic. The location made most of the top Reykjavik places to stay easy to walk to. We would love to come back here one day and honestly just book here again and not research anywhere else. 10 out of 10.

The parking is only the tricky part. Make sure if you rent a car that it’s a small car. it’s first come first serve and parking is limited.
