Villa Tranquila is a home of historical beauty. With stained glass windows, original interior artwork, high ceilings and spacious interior, this beloved home is a rare beauty amongst the cabins of the Russian River. Behind the gate is over a 1/2 acre of tree-lined landscaped grounds with multiple seating areas, including an in-deck jetted hot tub, and a dining patio with outdoor table, a barbecue and chaise lounge chairs. The front circular driveway winds between a lovely garden, lawn and the front entrance. Stay in and cook in the gourmet kitchen, or walk down hill .5 mile to town. With 5 bedrooms and sleeping space for 12, Villa Tranquila is a favorite for larger families and groups. It isn’t just the bedroom count that makes this home an excellent gathering space – the living room, dining room, kitchen and outdoor areas provide large, comfortable gathering areas. The living room features a river rock fireplace (decorative only) and a large flat screen TV. Numerous windows and doors look out to the backyard; gracious archways lead to a hallway on one side and the dining room on the other. The mahogany dining set seats 12 guests. The gourmet kitchen is a chef's delight, complete with stainless appliances that include a six burner professional gas stove, a griddle and two ovens. Downstairs Bedrooms and Bathrooms: Through the breakfast nook and past the quaint side entrance is the master suite, a half bath, the laundry room, and the other downstairs bedroom. The primary suite is spacious with a decorative fireplace, King bed, a Double futon, an entertainment system with a flat screen television and French doors leading to the back hot tub deck. Off the primary bedroom is the master bath, with double vanity and a dual-head walk-in shower. The primary bathroom features a door leading to the hallway, so it can be easily shared with the occupants of the second downstairs bedroom, with king bed. Upstairs Bedrooms and Bathroom: Stairs from the front hall lead to the Upper Level that offers 3 more bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. The room at the end of the hall features a King bed and a flat screen TV. The second upstairs room offers a King bed and the third bedroom has 2 Twin beds (can be converted to a king bed). All 3 bedrooms are filled with natural light and provide gorgeous views from the windows. The full bathroom has a separate shower and bathtub. Over 1/2 Acre of Gated, landscaped grounds surround Villa Tranquila. The front circular driveway winds between a lovely garden, lawn and the front entrance. The backyard is a tree-lined hideaway, with views of forested hills in the distance. The backyard consists of a large, in-deck 6 person spa, dining patio with a state-of-the-art barbecue and smoker, chaise lounge chairs, decks, large lawn and woodsy lower area. Villa Tranquila is located at the top of a hill in a quiet, scenic neighborhood. It's only a ten minute walk down to Guerneville's shopping, dining, nightlife and the Russian River. The BBQ worked fine, but the oven was very slow to heat up and never reached over 400F - despite setting at 475\. The neighborhood is quiet, but there is basically a junkyard across the street. This lovely hilltop home was well appointed for our group. We especially enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, and viewing the gorgeous night sky from the hot tub and back yard fire pit. Great location to stroll into town for morning coffee, browsing the stores or to walk over the Guerenville bridge. Rooms were clean and comfortable except the upstairs king bedroom which had a very saggy mattress that needs to be replaced. We were 7 adults, a preschooler and an infant and the bedrooms were perfect for us. The kitchen is well-equipped and large enough for multiple cooks. More than enough room for our party of 12\. The backyard was great, especially with the hot tub and grill outside. The house is clean and well stocked with spices, pots, and pans. Our party went floating on the river and easily walked the \~0.5 miles back to the house from Johnson's beach. We would definitely come back! ##### Sarah W. The house was perfect and had enough room for everyone. The backyard was wonderful.
